What I find frustrating is the microsopic size of the font used in the Properties and Effect Controls panels. If I'm trying to edit text in a mogrt, I have to use the Properties or Effect Controls panels, and the text in these is ridiculously small. Happily Adobe added a Font Size slider to the captions/Text panel, so I can at least edit my subtitles properly. PLEASE add this same functionality to the Properties and Effect Controls panels!

Just look at that nice, clear, easily editable text - I've outlined it so you can at least find the Properties panel...

Hey @robert_2063 , do as you wish. What workspace are you using when you cut vertical? I have mine setup under the 'Do Not Show' banner 🙂 , but you can move it up in the list.

The fact that Adobe marked this as a correct answer, and therefore suggests to buy lower resolution monitor as a solution is wild.

Yet still no fix to this. I am still forced to use old versions just to be able to work.

Shall I mention that we can't even preview vertical footage easily in source monitor and therefore cannot easily pre cut vertical footage?

When my project is set vertically, but my preview window doesn't switch to vertical automatically, let alone let me do it manually...

Davinci is looking more and more inviting...

Tenho sofrido com esse problema. Por vezes penso que minhas vistas estão ficando piores, mas saio do premiere e começo a ver normalmente. Isso deveria ser obrigatorio em todos os softwares.

If you can get through all the feelings-oriented marketing lingo, the page above annoucing Spectrum 2.0 makes it look like we might get UI scaling in the future...

"The future is about feeling at home" ah yes, so that's what we've all been missing...

thank you! I really hope this is being prioritized.

Its been waay to long we've been either squinting at the screens or using the back door option, which I always felt iffy about myself, and now you describing what the console is for makes me more iffy haha, but it seemed it was the only way and we need to get work done so alot of us used it. Now theres no option avalable at all at the moment from my understanding.

Would be amazing if the default font was larger to begin with, for the sake of productivity and eye health.

Is there any purpose for it to be that small?

But yes a built in way to adjust the font size would be extremely helpful.

What I'm confused about is how this wasn't an issue in developing the program from the start, it seems like such a basic design element, what sort of screen or upgraded eyeballs do you guys have that that wasn't an immediate issue? lol

I know a ton of people have already asked for this for a long time, but somehow there has been no movement that I can tell, and with 2025 version it seems even the workaround way to make the font bigger through the console is missing now.

Please make it so that the font is easily adjustable through regular settings, better yet why not make the default text larger to begin with?

It would really help with productivity, not to mention eye health.
I don't understand what purpose it serves being that small even if you have insanely good eyesight, its still not intuitive at all.

Gotta be one of the most basic and important design elements, how has this been neglected for so long? This is a profesional program, we shouldn't be squinting to do our work and read basic text, especially for something like editing where your working for long hours.

Really hope this can be worked on asap. At the very least have the workaround be available again. Thanks.

Hello. I chimed in on this thread many moons ago. I came back to see if there is any news.

Wow! That's some real-monitoring setup, well done! 🙂

My previous led was a Viewsonic 27" and that displayed a yellow tint kinda like your two monitors. I was bummed about it at first, and the Viewsonic I was switching from was good. But I did keep it for awhile.

Adobe does need to address this. The've said they were kinda surprised at the number of users that said they used the trick to change the fontsize. They are using new UI system https://spectrum.adobe.com/ so I hope they left some room for the font size to be adjusted. No doubt many users would like that.

Indeed, aging sucks! 🙂

@MyerPj Thank you for the sense of humor. I prefer to run these types of programs on the larger of the three monitors. The font size and viewability remain, even on the smaller 27" or 34" monitors shown in my workspace below,  When multitasking and requiring ample operational space, someone spending as much as we do on Adobe subscriptions (Creative Cloud Pro), we should expect compatibility with both legacy and modern hardware and components.

The issues with the Adobe workspace UI, font size, and available visual configuration settings have been around for a long time, even before I needed to wear reading glasses for everyday tasks (aging sucks). Adobe has ignored its users for too long regarding this issue. Today, I finally reached the point of frustration where I felt compelled to add my voice to others' complaints.
