Don't forget, there's always your ability to purchase a lower resolution monitor. Say you want a 32" monitor, instead of buying that new 4K monitor you've been looking at, go with a beautiful QHD - 2560 x 1440 instead. The pixel sizes will be bigger than in the 4k monitor. You'll save some $$$ and have a monitor you can run at 100%.

Hi everyone, thanks for the passionate feedback. Francis from Adobe here. I’m a Principal Product Manager on Premiere Pro.

The real talk is that yes, we did underestimate how many of you were utilizing the Console to adjust font size!

UI font size adjustment has been a request that’s been made for years and got shifted or re-prioritized from time to time. As your monitors have gotten larger, your requests have understandably got louder.

You’ve probably seen that Adobe moved to a new unifie

Curious, just how many upvotes will it take for Adobe to really prioritize this? Or does your team respond better to shaming from the visually impaired community you continue to ignore? At this point the improvements should already be in the Beta, right? Can anyone using beta confirm?

Neither "view" is more accurate or based in reality. Look at the incredibly massive overhaul of Premiere color management, accomplished in less than one build cycle. Along with many other changes.

A lot of users seem to miss one glaringly obvious concept. Like any other organization of humans, Adobe does stuff based on a priorities listing. It's how you get stuff done in groups. As someone who's had my own business for over 40 years, with at times a fair number of employees, priorities were always crucial to keeping everyone on a useful, similar path.

Am I frustrated by the font size thing? Font color? And also, the weird way they code use of mulitple monitors? Just their visual UI in general? Oh, heck yes. I've talked with staffers at NAB about it for a decade now.

So user input helps to shape that priorities list. User input is one of the data points on designating priorities. Once things get high enough on it, boom, they happen.

We just want this up higher ...

This needs constant repeating.   Keeping the conversation here as civil as possible is very important and often seems to fall by the wayside.   And I truly appreciate the contributions that the adobe team makes here.    Not sure it's still the case, but in the days of fcp 1-7, there was NO overt participation by apple in the user forum.

All software companies drop features as the hardware, OS etc evolve that they no longer feel they can support dependably.   Happy to provide chapter and verse if anyone wants to hear them.  Just consider all the bugs that are reported after a new version of Premiere is released.  Adobe can't thoroughly test the program on all the possible variations of hardware, OS and other installed programs.

User interface font size is one of the most basic elements of any software and should be the highest priority.

How you implement anything is naturally going to be seen by different people as to it's "usability". So I can see the devs feeling that for the vast majority of users they have implemented a correct situation.

I don't agree that is the decision I would want. But I can distinguish between my views and what others may see. We are all different. Period.

Some things that one user thinks are clearly necessary for all users are things other users never want to see at all. Again, we are all different.

So no, it isn't that they aren't aware of an issue, it's that they don't see the same 'result' as you. And me.

And that is what we need to convince them to allow the change for.

Well, I´m using a 48" LG C4 as editing monitor, and all my edits are in HDR 4K and I have the best display that I can imagine, but even so I NEED to scale the UI of Premiere. I have installed the 2025 version but working with the 2024 version "with the trick" because I CANNOT SEE THE UI.

I have little faith that this will be addressed, but here goes.
What the hell happened to the UI size customisation?
the icons and font is so tiny especially on 4K monitors!
I just upgraded to new versiopn and this is no longer an option. Adobe support was not able to really help to make iot much bigger.
Adobe?? I need to see the UI to be able to work!

You obviously didn't search the forum before posting. There have been a ton of threads on the subject. Including some Idea posts with staffers comments added in.

You might want to look around a bit.

Not on the Apple FCP forum, but on 2-pop.com, there was Ralph Fairweather, a great man who I model my Adobe support career after. Tom Wolsky was the man on the Apple forums, but he came from the community. He wrote some books on the topic. Nice guy too. I wonder how he's doing?

The leader of the LACPUG is stepping down in June; it's the end of an era. Ralph presented at the first meeting. I was there. It was awesome.

I am glad to hear Adobe is working on the UI font size issue.  I didn't love the workaround, but it was much better than nothing.  I really hope you can offer a way to up the font size as soon as possible.

fwiw, Adobe only offers the latest version and the one previous.  So that would be version 24.  When you do an update, you can choose NOT to delete the previous version.   You might reach out to adobe support and see if they would provide the installer from an earlier version if necessary, but it's probably unlikely.

That would be a useful answer if I already didn't have a 4K 10 Bit monitor which I bought years ago and cost a fortune.

To only be able to increase the Project folder size and not the actual UI text of the entire program is incredibly frustrating. Please tell me there is progress on this since November?

Communicate directly with Adobe Premiere Pro  Video Product team!

Just saw an announcement on YouTube of an Adobe Live stream scheduled for 3/7/2025 at 9:30am PDT.

It is titled "Meet the Adobe Video Product Team, Behind the Scenes & Beyond, with Kylee Pema and Francis Crossman".

This would be a great time to hear directly from Adobe and give your direct feedback about the user interface font size problem and anything else you wish to give feedback about.

FYI - If you aren't familiar with YouTube Live Streams, they are announced in advance, but usually the recorded version is kept online afterwards for viewing if you can't attend in real time.

YouTube has a comments feature where you can post your comments and feedback.  In my experience, feedback is best given during the live stream, but you can also post comments to the recorded video if watch it later as a replay.

YMMV how the participants or host of the live stream and video process comments, but definitely worth participating if you want to elevate the frustration with Adobe Premiere Pro user interface font size problems.

Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/live/kVoCEcsS9ZI?si=0EBXCKbCZ5QCElXl

(Hopefully the mods will not delete the link, but if they do, for whatever reason, search YouTube for "Adobe Live" channel to find it.)
