Scrolling while selecting text in text-based editing panel

At the moment the action to scroll is blocked while selecting text in the text panel while text-based editing, this means you must drag your cursor up to scroll up which accelerates at an unpredictable speed and can easily select far too much text.

I suggest unblocking the scroll action so users can click and hold then simply scroll at their own controlled speed to continue selecting up & down while also being able to move the mouse for precision selection.

I think I see what you mean, but I have a simple mouse that does not do click-hold-scroll well. I have no objection to having the option you want.

But a) I prefer clicking in position 1, then shift click in position 2 to select what I want and b) click drag moves at a speed I can control well.

Note that any selection in the transcript is only by whole words.
