Text Based Editing Bulk Edits

The text based editing feature released in version 23.4 is fantastic! However, I'd love to see some better implementation of bulk edits such as "Cut Speaker 1, or 2, etc" -- This would be great for interviews where we just want to cut out the interviewer's questions and leave only the subject in the timeline.

In the same way, I'd love to see "Cut all pauses". Or "Cut Ands and Ums"-- Maybe even "Cut Pause longer than X seconds" Or "Cut Isolated Ands and Ums" So it wouldn't cut the ones mid-sentence. If I could remove the interviewer and all unneccesary pauses, half of my workflow would already be complete in two clicks.

I would have assumed this would be available, as many have already mentioned it during the Beta. Please upvote to get this to the top! Thanks!

You can set the pause length by pressing the "..." in the top right corner.

I'd also like to see cut out all pauses feature.

White Lily,

Upvoted. You cover a lot of territory in your requests! Some will be easier than others.

Scott,

Good point. It sets a "minimum pause length." The dialogue says, "Your transcript will only show pauses of this length or more."

The default is .75 seconds. The range is as short as 0.1 second and as long as 2.5.

Also, you can hover over the pause indication, and it tells you how many seconds long is the pause.

Yes, I do like that feature, but manually going through them all in a 40
minute intv. Is very tedious. Thanks for your reply!

Perhaps a one-click feature to "remove all pauses" will do the trick. I mainly use Descript for most of the transcriptions but slowly using Premiere Pro for most projects.
