Transcipt search window so so so tiny

Is there any reason the Transcript's search window needs to be so darn tiny?  Every time I write/paste a bit of unique text, if I need to modify it it's like trying to paint a ship in a bottle - very awkward.

Can't it expand to the maximum area the window allows for? There is all that unused space to the right of the other buttons.
