Question

CHM File Font Settings

I'm implementing CHM help files. I noticed that the default font size is quite small, like 8.  It appears I can modify the style within the word file, and it ports to the CHM file. However, how do end users modify the size of the font in a CHM file?

Thank you for your consideration.

Hi there

One way is to turn on a Toolbar button allowing them to do so.

The article below tells you how it's done.

However, I note you posted this in the RoboHelp for Word category. Normally one doesn't see "RoboHelp for Word" and "CHM" used in the same sentence. It would be like seeing "Routed edge" and "Compound Miter Saw" being used together. (Two different tools are used for that). So making this work from RoboHelp for Word will definitely be tricky, if not impossible to achieve.

Cheers... Rick

Robohelp for Word has multiple output file types, CHM being among them. So I don't see why this is a mismatch at all.

What link are you referring to please?

Hi again

Weird. I could have sworn I added the link.

My comment about CHM and Word stems from the fact that Word producing HTML is a kludge. CHM is HTML based. Sure, CHM is an output type you can use. As long as you are happy living with the restrictions of dealing with that setup. (of which this is likely one)
