Command Line build does not update linked documents

Using a simple command line build which works almost fine. Only issue is that for any linked documents we have it does not auto-generate the topics. Similarly, in the GUI itself there seems to be no way to tell it to update all topics from linked documents. e.g. we have about 20 linked word docs, and I have to select each one and command it to update the topics.

Examining the command line help ("C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 2020\RoboHelp.exe" --cl  -help) yeilded no extra params for this either.

Finally, the available command line parameters are very unclear. e.g. I am using -o and -p, which results in a working site (albeit without linked document updates) but there is also a -u param which states 'Publish the selected profiles in the output preset' - but the publish is happening anyway without this parameter.

Finally the help emmitted for u goes on to say '(Note: if both publishing and output generation related arguments are provided, publishing is prioritized)', which makes no sense - ie why would you want to publish BEFORE generating output?

I have created a feature Request for this here: https://tracker.adobe.com/#/view/RH-9124

    Hi Steve,

    A few clarifications:

    1. To update all linked word docs, if they are inside a particular folder, you can right click on the folder and choose Word Documents> Update All and that will update all the word docs inside that particular folder.

    2. Updating linked documents from command line isn't present as you have already confirmed. Since command line output generation is only intented for output generation and not content manipulation, user is expected to update the linked documents before generating outputs manually.

    1. Thanks for that, and the folder tip might be useful.

    2. Sadly this does not fit out use-case, where the Word documents are the golden source - otherwise why would they be linked rather then just imported - so on any change we want to regen the site. This means we have a manual operation that could otherwise be avoided. I shall be speaking to the sales force to try and get this raised as a feature request.

Adobe support confirmed there is no way to auto-update linked documents. I am persuing a 'feature request' to have this facility added
