Exporting the TOC to text/Word/Excel?

New Here ,
May 10, 2011 May 10, 2011

Is there a way to export the TOC for a multi-project Help system into a text/word/excel doc?

We are need to have the entire TOC put into a planning doc (ug), and we'd prefer not to have to manually type it if at all possible.

If you run the table of contents report - Tools > Reports -  there is an option to save the report as a file. This can then be imported into Word or Excel. You may have to do a little tidy up but not that much.

For a merged project you'd have to run the report on each project and cut / paste the data into a single file.

Thanks! I forgot about the report option and when I tried searching RH help it kept displaying importing options.

Never mind! I was thinking of topic lists rather than TOC lists. Shoot!

Good luck,

Leon
