Question

Generate and publish to TFS server

I am using RoboHelp HTML version 9.0.0.228/Windows Vista/Microsoft Visual Sudio 2010 Ultimate version 10.0.30319 and TFS. I am not sure if it's just that I'm so new to this that I'm not understanding the flow but it seems to me that when I generate and publish my merged project that has been opened using TFS, the generated/published version should reside on the TFS server to maintain version control. I am not the person who will move the Webhelp folder to the webserver and cannot map to the TFS server either so that I can pick it when I'm generating/publishing.

I'm finding this a bit frustrating. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the community,

Sorry, but this thread slipped through.

Normally, the project source is stored in TFS. When you generate your output, RoboHelp does not add the output to TFS. This may not be nessecary since you can easily recreate your content from the source files. If you want the generated output in TFS, you have to add the output manually.

Greet,

Willam
