How to connect to a unified search engine

Hi, 

My company wants to implement a "unified enterprise search engine (or insight engine/cognitive search). We would like to know if it is possible to connect to the Robohelp search engine and import (or export depending on the way you see it)  the search results into the global (unified results). We would like to know how to do it.

    Yes. Go to Search (grainge.org) and what you are seeing there is ZoomSearch operating across the original part of my site. That is created in Dreamweaver but it can be integrated into RoboHelp Classic for sure. As above, I think it should also work on the new UI versions but I haven't tested it.

     

    Ignore the appearance of the page as you can configure that how you want. Zoomsearch creates a small number of files and it is those I think your developers could integrate into whatever they are building. It's not free but the price is not high. 

     

    I am not saying for sure it will do what you want but your developers can determine that.

    I think that has been asked in the past and the answer was it is not possible. 

     

    On my site there is an article about a product called Zoomsearch, a third party product now on a later version than I cover. The idea then was to use it instead of the RoboHelp search that was much poorer then.

     

    I haven't tried it with the new UI versions but I don't see why it wouldn't work. You wouldn't be intergrating it with RoboHelp in your case, simply creating a web page or, more likely, your developers would use the Zoomsearch output somehow.

    Thank you. Juste to clarify, in other words, the unified engine would connect to Zoomsearch, which would search the html content produced by Robohelp? So, Zoomsearch acts as an intermediary?
