How to link to a folder - not a file

I need to be able to create a link to a network folder - not to a specific file.  We have a folder that contains Training information based on several specific subjects, but I want the user to be able to link to the main Folder and then specifiy which part of the training they need to review.  I am using the latest version of RH and have tried multiple ways of linking the Folder through the Hyperlink command.  I have even tried importing the Folder into Assets.  Each try results in failure.  I believe there MUST be a way to link to the Folder without having to list and link ot each individual subject file found in our Training material.  Any help will be appreciated!

I asked Adobe about this and it seems it is possible with the right server settings and permissions. You will need to speak to your IT people.

Thakn you, Peter.  AS a work around I created a batch file that takes the user to the main Training folder and allows them to choose which specific Training folder they would like to access.

I'm thinking that if browsers could access files it would a hackers dream come true.

Don't think that's going to work - the folder would need a share name to be accessed & depending on if the web page is located on a web server or if it's local, determines how the browser is going to let you see it.

Highly doubtful - browser security would tend to shut that down. What have you tried & where is the HTML page in relation to the folder?

The Folder I am trying to link to is outside of the RH project.  I have been able to link files outside the project without any problem.  Basically, I am highlighting the text I want the user to click, then choosing to Hyperlink to a Local File and path to the Folder I want them to open.  I have also imported the Folder as an Asset and tried to link to it that way.  I am trying to avoid having to clog up a RH Topic page with a mammoth list of Training subjects and the individudal link to each file.  Some Folders contain 20+ files and their are nearly 30 folders in total.  That would make for a very busy page...
