Question

Most of my screen goes white after I delete an image

Hi,

I have Robohelp 2020 and am working on a Help file. I noticed that when I delete an image, part of the workspace turns white. I can still scroll and see what's on the page, but in a small space (please see screenshot). Does anyone know why this is happening? If I click onto other topics the layout looks fine.

    Another thing you might try is flipping over to the source code view to see what might be going on when part of your screen blanks.

    Another line of inquiry - is this just starting to happen or has it always been like this? Are you all patched up? I don't think you mentioned your exact point version of RH2020.

    Not necessary. I am trying to help.

    • If you took a screenshot of your whole desktop when this happens, I could see better where you are in RoboHelp.
    • If you mean your whole screen goes blank rather than just RoboHelp then that seems to be a bigger problem.

    Either way a before and after screenshot could start us troubleshooting.

    I don't think that is what @Jeff_Coatsworth meant. I think he was just suggesting you try to see if it fixed the issue but I am not aware of any issues when deleting images.

     

    Your screenshot shows a down arrow. That's not something that comes with RoboHelp. Could however you have done that be related?

     

    If you create a topic with a block of text, then an image, then more text and then delete the image, does this happen then?

     

    It would help if your screenshots showed more of the workspace.

    Are yout talking about the green arrow in first image? Or the dropdown arrow? The dropdown arrow is from a screenshot from my software. 

     

    I can't show you more wordspace in my image because most of the workspace is not showing. That's the problem that I am having. I can scroll down and see what else I have on the page, but only in that small window that is showing.

    Are you all patched up in RH2020? Have you considered upgrading to RH2022 (currently the latest version)?

    We will be updating to 2022 over a period of time.  Here are the images.

    The image is too indistinct to see anything. Please use the photo icon to insert images within the post. Seeing an image inline with the text makes it easier for anyone answering or viewing the post. Also set the size to Large.

    I closed the Robohelp file and opened it back up. The workspace was normal. But after I started working it decreased again, but not as much.
