Need Immediate Help!! Unable to find a solution for updating content in RoboHelp. Strange :(
Hello everyone!!
I am trying to create a huge instruction based help file through RoboHelp. Its the best possible option I could find when compared to writing lengthy tutorials with many files. I am planning to host it on network. Since the length of the web help would be exceptionally large (around 1000-1500 pages), I am looking for a solution wherein i can update the contents in the future once the document is hosted online. Let's say, if I wish to add few more topics, or some additional text and images in the topic later on.
Right now I am in the impression that once the lengthy manual has been hosted online, if I decide to make any changes later on in future (like adding additional TOC's, or text and pictures), I have to re-compile and re-host the entire manual to reflect the changes.
I also tried exploring the option of linking the source word file (the existing word file of the manual i have with me). But the problem is that after importing and linking, I am not able to customize the TOC's (like renaming, or moving the TOC's).
It would be really helpful if anyone can recommend a suitable solution for this. To sum it once again, I am just looking for a tool/process/way wherein I can easily update any required section of help (which I would be hosting online) without re-hosting the entire 1000-1500 pages.
Regards,
RoboGuy
