Spry Menu in IE 7.0 - drop down menu behind other content

I was hoping someone could help me with this issue.

I have inserted a DW Spry Horizontal Menu Bar and it works great in FF, Safari, IE 8.0 and etc...However in IE 7 the submenus display behind other content instead of on top (z-index?).  I have not changed the hacks that were included in the CSS file for IE.

I appreciate the help, it's costing a ton of time (cannot figure this one out).
