Question

Critique Image Feedback would be appreciated :-)

Hi all,

I'm not a regular poster here however of late I am finding more and more of my images are being rejected on Adobe Stock. It feels that the process is becoming more subjective and therefore much more difficult to know what is acceptable or not. In the past I had very, very few images rejected. In addition, the same images were accepted at other stock sites. So confused! Any constructive critisism or feedback, insight would be HUGELY appreciated.

Perhaps some of you guys could have a look over my latest rejection and offer any thoughts.

Thanks, Jus 🙂

Hello,

With the snowman, you do not have a clean background. Composition is poor.

Thanks for the feedback on this Ricky, the image was rejected on Technical Rejection, do you think that might also be composition?

Composition is also part of the technical qualities.

Basically, artefacts such as noise and compression, exposure, too much saturation, focus, white balance, composition, etc.

The lights are overexposed, it is poorly cropped and it may be an IP violation.

The lights are pure white without details.

The cropping cuts off the hat, both arms and  includes a portion of the second snowman.

The snowman is someone elses product however, you use it as the main subject of your photo. This is not allowed.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Ralph, much appreciated.

I forgot to add that this was a Technical Rejection, I 100% see the clipping in the white. The thing I dont understand is if this is a rule why it is not applied consistently, heres another image submitted to Adobe and this has clipping in the shadows but it was accepted. I am trying to uinderstand where the goal posts actually are 😞
