After cropping an image, you may be disappointed when your photo gets rejected because it is smaller than minimum flie size of 4 MB.

You can effectively increase the photo size using Lightrooms Enhance feature.

Here is the original photo (thumbnail)  with 5.67 MB.

The photo is not very pleasing and has no chance of selling.

It is poorly cropped and the focal point is way too small.

Cropping the photo makes the photo (thumbnail) more pleasing but is with 3.7 MB too small to submit.

I used the Lightroom Enhance function to increase the resolution.

This resulted in a JPEG that is 6.88 MB large. Well over the 4 MB minimum size requirement.

This is interesting advice, but it may be worth mentioning that there is no minimum file size. There is a minimum image size of 4MP, but checking the saved image size alone is not enough; a file size of 3MB could still be over 4MP, and a file size of 5MB could still be less than 4MP...

@Test Screen Name you are right. I got off track.

I should have said that the cropped photo was 2032x 1354 pixels or 2.75 MP. Under the 4MP minimum.

The enhanced photo was 4063 x 2709 pixels or 11 MP. Well over the 4MP limit.

Both were at 600dpi.
