Could you explain (or review) why my photo was rejected?

Thank you.

Hi @agokselb ,

The photo is underexposed. Also there is a white balance issue. The photo has a red tint, which is most visible in the blacks, as the case of the black shirt, and the lamp shade that should be white.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

I agree with @daniellei4510 that this should have been captured in horizontal rather than vertical format. Is it a cellphone image? The verticals are leaning - see the lamp post? It should be standing straight up. The focal point also seems to have fallen on the foreground rather than the midground which is the obvious focal point given the composition.

Thank you for reviewing my photo. I’m just an amateur photographer, but I’ll consider your valuable critiques.

Maybe not the reason for rejection, but I'm of the opinion that all landscape images should be taken horizontally. Remove the two people and the signs. They distract. All that said, from a commercial standpoint, there is no one thing that strikes me as the main subject. It comes across as just a snapshot of trees. Which is fine, but I'm sure there are so many more that would be on interest if this had been photographed horizontally.

These are probably more my opinion than possible technical issues that may have led to the rejection. I assume it was due to quality issues?
