Hi Guys, I just had three of my images rejected for use of generative ai and quality issues, however I did not use any AI - they're just well-photoshopped. I've inserted the pictures here so hopefully that helps.

The error message you may be referring to lists several possible rejection reasons, only one of which is undeclared AI.

The first image has a severely leaning horizon, chromatic aberration, oversaturation and nothing in focus. It also has an Apple logo, which is an IP rejection.

The second and third images also appear to be out of focus.

The fire images lack detail and appear out of focus. Since there are flames, it would seem logical that there would be a degree of illumation showing detail in the surrounding blacks.

Unless you submitted the iPhone photo under Editorial Use Only, this would be an IP violation. The logo needs to be removed, although I'm not quite sure what concept you're trying to show here. And the mug should be level.

As pointed out there are a number of issues.

Read these links about quality, composition, exposure, and white balance. White balance is also incorrect with the phone photo.

Have a read of these:

So, looking at your message, you got two different refusal reasons:

1. one was NON-COMPLIANT IMAGE (phone picture) and refers in its stock text to generative AI, but is by far not the only possibility to get this refusal.

2. two were QUALITY ISSUES (fire images) and they do not refer to AI.

Every image gets one and only one refusal reason, and you should always give us the exact header of the refusal for each image. The text is for all issues stock text, and is always the same and uninteresting. In addition the non-compliant image shows 3 possible reasons, the 3rd is for you: Content not compliant with overall guidelines!

Your first image should get an IP refusal, because of the iPhones. The logo is the most obvious thing there, as all logos need to be edited out, but it may be, that also the camera lenses and the side buttons triggers an IP refusal. But it has also severe quality issues. So I suppose that the moderator, when checking the asset, simply wanted to express that the asset is not usable at all. I suppose further that the moderator simply wanted to avoid you correcting slightly technical errors one by one, earning more refusal and still not getting the asset in the database.

The two other fire images have simply and only quality issues. Fire images are very difficult to take, as expose, focus and framing need to be correct. Focus is a problem because of the hot air, exposure is a problem because  the fire is very bright and the dynamic range of the camera is not good enough for that situation.
