Some AI designs / patterns rejected and not sure why - can you help?

I've submitted a few AI designs -- some have been accepted and some denied, but I can't figure exactly why... can you help so I can know a little more about what to avoid? Thanks in advance!

And since no one else has mentioned it here, I'll add a reminder that you must zoom in 100-200% on your images and inspect thoroughly to detect such errors, because that's exactly what the Moderators do. Many images, as is the case with these, look reasonably good viewed at screen size, but when zoomed in errors start to become apparent.

Thank you! Sometimes they do get difficult to find!

If you do not see errors at 200%, they are either not present, or you do not consider them as errors. I check an asset at 100% and if I see anomalies, I go higher in magnification. But the anomalies at 100% that are to be considered.

As always, you need to have a trained eye for those.

Things like this constitute errors:

Some would argue, that they designed the asset as this, and as it is an abstract, it should pass. But it disrupts the flow of other elements, and therefore is an anomaly that needs to be corrected. You also have ghost lines (darker or lighter lines) around the assets. These are clearly errors typical for the AI.

Some parts of the flowers were poorly rendered. But I also wonder if the ghosted out background was misinterpreted by the moderator to be a flaw.

Thank you, I was wondering that too, about the background. Appreciate the help!

I'm not sure exactly how abstract drawings are evaluated, but I assume they're looking for a certain amount of cohesiveness in the design such as no stray lines or inconsistent elements.

Thank you! Very helpful -- it does seem like abstract designs would have a bit of leniency in that regard, but I get it... definite gray area. Thanks again.

Abstract designs still need to be "correct". It's a question of cohesion.
