Vector file is NOT vector...

I downloaded asset 193158173, assuming it was a vector file. It downloaded as AI and does contain vector elements, however the main image that I donwloaded the file for is just a buch of high-res bitmaps.

I feel cheated and misinformed. How can I return the license?

Thanks for your help! Best regards

Jan S.

Well, you can use any program you want, but Illustrator files are best opened with Illustrator. Other programs may open the asset, or may not open the asset. If they claim to open Adobe Illustrator files, and you have problems with that, you should contact the customer service of your program vendor.

The alternative is to take the 7-day trial subscription of Adobe Illustrator and to save the file in a different format. You could also try to open the file as a PDF file, as Illustrator offers the option to embed the PDF data. That may be working for you.

If you still have problems, please let me know your Illustrator version.

Hello @Jan@KF, I believe this vector is working as expected. If you right-click on the image and select "Release Clipping Mask" this might resolve your issue as this gives you more control over the individual vector items that make up the full vector.

Hey Contributor1, hey Abambo.

Thanks for your answers, but: Sorry, no. It is NOT working as expected.

I am NOT using Adobe Illustrator, and I shouldn't have to. I downloaded a vector file to edit in a vector editing program, and it does not work.

Please advise.
