My Substance 3D painter stopped working recently. Unable to launch the application.

On the same host, Substance 3D designer is working very well.

The 2 applications were installed together.

Upgraed GPU Geforce 3080 driver to the latest, still no luck.

The log is enlosed.

Hi @Shan299975432wso,

Thanks for the message.

Except for your brand new GPU, your system is below the minimum requirement for running Substance 3D Painter and this can result with several problems like the one you're facing.

With that being said, if Substance Painter previously worked correctly, you can always try to reinstall the soft, but I am not sure this will help

We can also try several things to optimize the project. While creating a project, make sure your Document Resolution is 1024 or below, but not above. I'd advise you to avoid the UV Tile workflow as much as possible and to deactivate the Temporal Anti-Aliasing under the camera settings.

Best regards,

Hi Cyril, Thanks for your prompt reply.

My host is powerful. It's a new DELL Precision 5820 Towner (CPU: W2295 18C 3.0GHz, RAM: 64GB, SSD: 1TB+2TB, GPU: 3080).

So I think the issue is not with computer hardware capability.

Oh sorry, I didn't get you were streaming another PC.

Well I think there's an issue with your Substance Plugins (photoshop-export, resources-updater, etc.) and that's why I suggested to make a clean reinstall of Substance 3D Painter.

Just to be clear, does Substance 3D Painter open a window or crash before even launching properly?

Keep me informed.

Hi Cyril,

We uninstalled the plugin's and reinstalled Substance 3D Painter. Still, we are only able to get the loading application session.

After some time, the loading application session disappears, and Painter dialog session doesn't appear at all.

Hi @Shan299975432wso,

Sorry for the delay.

For this specific issue, I'd advise you to rollback the GPU driver. It seems we have issues with the latest NVIDIA driver and this could very well be what's preventing the app to launch properly.

Let me know,

Hi Cyril,

On another host, with the same driver version and same hardware configuration, the painter application is working very well.

The difference is, on the good host, I only have Windows, Office, antivirus and Adobe Substance 3D Painter. Nothing else.

So, I guess it's not the driver issue. Suspecting there was something confliction, but I don't what it was.

I read the guide in Adobe website regrading 3D Painter issue, and leant that it would conflict with Autodesk, or something else. I tried all of the applicable steps. Still no luck.

Thanks,

Shan

I don't think it's related to your current issue, but considering the weird characters in the log I prefer to be sure, so could you tell me in which language your Substance 3D Painter is set up?

A lot of things seems to point out the host PC (especially if you tried it with a similar one). Have you already tried to open Substance 3D Painter directly with the host PC? If it still isn't running, this is certainly due to the host and I'd advise you to compare it with the working one to find what's the difference causing issues.
