Allow drag and droping bitmap images directly to the layer stack

I would like to suggest the ability to drag and drop bitmaps directly to the layer stack and automatically create/replace a fill layer.
 
I've attached two example gifs for demonstration.

This is a great demonstration of good UX improvement! There are always a lot of things to consider when doing those, so we might not do it this way but what you are looking for as a user is clear. I can't give any ETA on those changes of course but thank you for your time!
