Cannot paste clip from premiere team project

I am attempting to paste a clip from a premiere pro team project into after effects. However, upon pasting the clip, the footage appears as offline/unrecognized media and I am given this error message:

Does anyone have a fix or know why this is happening?

Are you pasting into a normal/standalone/non-Team-Project Ae project or into an Ae Team Project?

Normal AE project. I haven't tested it yet with a Team AE project. Seems silly if they aren't compatible, but that could very well be the problem
