Team Project Not Loading Loading in Premiere 2025 (Version 25.0.0 [Build 61])

Unable to open past Team Projects in the new premiere update (version 25.0.0 (Build 61)

The bug appears to be with "Processing loaded assets," (image attached) it gets stuck/hangs on this process and freezes the entire program until you force quite.
I've tried clearing/cleaning and also moving my cache database, as well as making sure all permissions are admitted.

There are some smaller 2024 team projects that seem to import into 2025 fine.   I'm not sure what the deal is... if it's the size of the larger ones that don't work, or certain video codecs.  But I have tried eliminating all the odd codecs from the project and team projects 2025 will still not open the larger ones.

This might be an issue with a stalled DynamicLink process - Can you try to open the project in the current Premiere Pro (Beta) build?

Tried opening in the beta but this didn't fix anything for me.

Still stuck loading 'Processing loaded assets', and 'Loading individual asset descriptions'.

Here's the workaround for me. Open a new project, go to the edit tab and than import your old project, save it as a new project.

You need to try to import through Media Browser into a new local project in 2024.

This same issue has been happening to my team for the past week and I'm losing my mind.

Strange thing is, after continual force quitting, I can sometimes get it to open. Could be the second attempt... could be the fifteenth. This is very frustrating. Completely unsustainable for the project I'm currently working on, after we comitted to using Adobe over other "industry standards".

I spent a long time on Adobe's help chat walking through the project with a technician. They said it was corrupt somewhere. Nothing they suggested worked. No solution. NO SOLUTION!!!

Tried rebuilding a new team project by importing or copying my bins over... Still the same issue.

Alright, here is my current workaround.

1. Created a new Team Project in Preimere 2025 with nothing in it,

2. go to the top of the screen and click the project name to produce the drop down menu, select the auto save option.

3. From there I was able to access the autosaves from my Team Project that was stuck at the loading assets screen and drag them all into my current project.

4. Reconnected some files and it seems like i'm off and running.

Having that blank project as a start seemed to allow me to get further!

Update, although I was able to pull this all together, when I went to publish the team project it had yet another issue and failed to publish. What a mess.  I've now reverted to using an individual project. I pulled all the footage and sequences from the media browser tab and going into the auto-saves from the original team project I was working on. Hopefully adobe get's on this soon because it's crippling my productivity working from the road.

Same exact issue, it's killing me. Other editor upgraded accidentally and opened it up in 25, now I can't open it from 25 or 24 but seems to work fine for him

Once Team Project changes were published with newer Version (25.0), all collaborators will need to update to the latest version as well.  However, you could still open the project in 24.x by either reverting an auto save or by creating a new project based on a historic version prior to the published version in 25.0. - View auto saves and versions of Team Project

This same issue has also been haunting me for the past week. I accidentally upgraded to 25.0 (thinking it was an update to 24)  and haven't been able to open any pre-existing team projects.  Can't even open them in 24 now because it says they were created in a newer version of the software (which is false seeing as I haven't even been able to open them). Adobe pleasae resolve this asap.

Hi @Jack Houston 002,

it might help to refresh the local project file (.tpr) which can be found in the 'Auto Save' folder whose path is specified under the 'Auto Save’ preference for Team Projects.
Default location: '/Users/[user]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Team Projects Local Hub/Auto Saves'

Close Premiere and move the existing ‘[projectName].tpr’ file to a temp location. Restart Premiere and open the troublesome Team Project, the .tpr file will be re-created based on the cloud version.

I found a fairly convoluted workaround to at least bring it back to 24. I made a new project in 24, then through media browser went into the 25 project and imported everything over. Had to restart premiere a bunch of times because the ingest would only work for like one bin at a time until I was brave enough to select all and bring the whole thing over at once. Now I at least have the project back 🤷‍♂ but the other editors also need to downgrade from 25

THIS is the way. I just opened 2024, created a new project, imported everything from media browser and it WORKED. Thank you, Frank. You have saved our timeline on a feature film.
