Team Projects- get rid of "read only" setting for collaborator

Hello!
I'm using Team Projects for the first time with a remote co-worker. We are trying to edit at the same time but when she goes on it says "read only" at the top of her timeline and she can't edit while I'm online. How do you fix this? Thank you!

Hi OhhYeaa!

Thanks for reaching out.  With Team Projects you have tremendous power to collaborate. One of the potential downsides to multiple people editing simultaneously is the risk of conflicts. To reduce these, we introduced a new feature in December called "Sequence Locking". The way it works is to allow 1 editor at a time to edit a given sequence and lock write access for all other editors until the first editor publishes their work.

If your co-worker is seeing a sequence as "View Only" (aka - "read only"), it is most likely because you have made a change to that sequence on your computer and have not yet published that change. Once you hit the Publish button and submit your work, the sequence for your co-worker will no longer be read only. Once they start editing you will then see the read-only state on your machine - and so on.

There are other possibilities where your co-worker might be seeing a read-only state on a sequence. So if the scenario I describe above doesn't fit what you're seeing just let us know and we can dig deeper and see what is happening.

Hi there,

I often receive a "view only" message even though I am the only editor online. I also receive it when there is another editor online but they are working on a different sequence than I am. I know Premiere locks the same sequence from being edited by multiple people but it seems like I am being booted by Premiere from the sequence I am editing because I am editing it. 0.0 I contacted Adobe support and did not receive any workarounds from them that worked. Anyone else encountering this issue?

I have the same issue, create brand new sequences (A) and (B), do a few edit then put (A) into (B), publish everything then suddenly (A) is view only. I was the only one doing the edits, all the other editors are offline.
