draw your wall, and with it selected, choose New Symbol in the Symbols pallet For your 3D shape, start with an oval close to the curve that you want. It will take some experimenting with the settings to get it to look the way you want.

I can't test this, since I don't have a Tibetan font, but you could try a GREP style that applies a No Break Character Style to .། This should force the ། character to stay with whatever character comes before it.

You can join the shading, but it is a bit of a workaround. For some reason, the setting Merge Consecutive Borders and Shading with same Settings is only availabe under the Borders settings, and is not activated if Borders is not checked. You can get around this by also setting a Paragraph Border in your style, but setting it to 0 pts

It seems like you have added a gradient feather to the frame. (It's the tool directly below the gradient one in the toolbar.) Go to the Object > Effects menu to turn it off

The canvas will always be a square or a rectangle - there is no way around that. What you can do is make a circular mask so that all of the area outside the circle is transparent.

If your co-worker does not want the white, then they will have to do without the crop marks (which may be how they need it - ask about this). Here are two files of the same size with the same bleed - they are both exported with bleed - the one on the left does not include any of the printer marks.

I input the bleed into the document setup at 3.5 inches per side, but I disable the "include bleed" option when exporting as a pdf. Why are you disabling "include bleed?" That defeats the purpose of having the bleed, because the file you are sending to the printer does not have any bleed included.

The problem is related to the positon of the tab stop in your Légende paragraph style. Moving it far enough out to accomodate the widest figure numbers fixes it.

In that case, can you share the file with dropbox? (or some other file-sharing service)? What I can tell from your screenshot is exactly what I got from a tab and centered text. If that is not it, I would have to look at the file itself to see what is going on.

It looks like your text is set to Centered. On figures 4 and 5, the text frame is short, so you are not seeing the centering, but on the longer frame, its effect is clear.

I was able to duplicate this by adding a wide white stroke on the right side of the table, and setting the stroke drawing order to Row Strokes in Front

Tables can be wider than the text frame that contains them. You will have to to resize the table to the width you need.

You don't need to add them in the Index Panel, they can be inserted when you generate the index by adding ^t in the Following Topic box. If you want a tab after the page number, add it in the Entry End box.

I think I would do this by making two additional copies of the full layer, and then paint on the masks with a soft brush to remove the background of the upper two layers. Each layer can then be repositoned for the grouping you need.

One tip for working with text - always style it using Paragraph Styles. The Character Style should be None, unless you are adding special styling to a word or two within a paragraph (e.g. Bold, Italic, Red, etc.) You can set a character style to have only the attribute you want to change, and it will then override only that attribute of the Paragraph Style.

With no documents open, go to InDesign preferences and change your ruler units to inches. Once you have done this, your new document dialog will default to inches instead of picas.
