No. To be clear it would only be lost due to a disk failure and update of OS following installation of a new hard drive. Updating the OS on existing hardware has no effect on activation.

Activation is hardware specific. When a drive fails and is replaced or a new OS installed the previous activation will be lost and the new hardware will be recognized as a different computer. Only Adobe support can deal with such a situation.

When you installed LR CC 2015 did you upgrade your earlier catalog? Normally everything should transfer including presets but you may need to copy from your previous version if third party presets have not installed. From LR CC 2015 click the menu: Lightroom >> Preferences >> Presets (tab) To show the system location click the button “Show Lightroom Presets Folder” You can then double-click on Lightroom and again on Develop Presets. Drag your Kellie Hatcher folder into Develop Presets. On Mac the default location is usually: Macintosh HD\Users\User Name\Library\Application Support\Adobe\Lightroom Windows – go to: Edit >> Preferences >> Presets (tab) Default location: C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom

It is worth changing the preview size to the new Auto settings, if required. From the LR menu go to: Edit >> Catalog Settings >> File Handling (tab) Lightroom >> Catalog Settings >> File Handling (tab) on Mac For Standard Preview Size choose Auto from the drop-down list. This is the default setting if you are using LR6 for the first time and it’s particularly useful for retina and HiDpi displays but will optimize LR for any monitor. For those using LR5 or previous versions, it is recommended that the preview size is changed to the Auto setting.

Look at the before and after window. You can see the file size change in the after view, as you change settings. Go for the highest without exceeding the maximum permitted file size. My guess is for a 2500 p[x jpeg, you should have no problems uploading.

So if your original is larger why not go for 2500 Open your Original and choose: File >> Save for Web Select from the file type menu Jpeg max quality. The setting is usually about 60 but you can push the slider up to 100 for no compression. Under the section marked new size leave the width and height linked and type 2500 in the width box. The height will change automatically. Use the height box if that is the longest edge. Then click OK. Save with a different name.

Hi Samyak Veera, After typing your text click the check-mark to commit and then select the move tool from the top of the tools pallet. You should see a bounding box appear around your words with four corner handles. Hover your mouse around one of the corners until the cursor changes to double rotation arrows. You can then change the angle to your liking and re-commit. You can also click in the middle of the box to drag it around if you need to re-position.

I don’t see face recognition as a priority, but it would be OK if it was optional and could be activated as a user preference. I’ve seen it working in Photoshop Elements which has a similar catalog to Lightroom. The initial indexing requires a lot of manual input but when left to continually work in the background becomes a drag on performance.

Sorry, I guess it depends on your printer and paper profiles. I do have settings for inches but only the following sizes: 9x11 10x11 10x14 11x17 12x11 15x11 If you only have choices in millimeters, it is possible to switch the units under the right-hand layout tab to correspond. It may not help, but that’s the only suggestion I can make unless others have a better idea.

Are you talking about printing? Page set-up is something you do in your computer OS. On Mac OSX the set-up dialog appears after clicking the print button. You can set a custom cell size in inches in the right-hand panel of the LR print module.

Your settings will usually be blocked by Google unless you set up an application password. You may receive a security email referring to an attempt to log-in to your account e.g. from Lightroom. Google calls these less secure apps but you are basically setting up a one-time password specific to Lightroom Classic.
