Hi Jason - Unfortunately I don't have a lot I can add here. I was unable to reproduce the problem myself and from searching around internally and externally, other users do not seem to be having this issue. One thing to try if you're not doing so already is, relinking on project launch, not from within the project. Meaning when you launch Premiere and select your desired project, try relinking when the link media dialog prompts. Also, make sure your that 'relink automatically' tick box is checked. Hi William, I'm not aware of any known issues. Would you be able to provide a small sample files that fails to import? You can upload it to CC or Drop Box, etc... A few things to try: Importing via all methods - Media Browser, File Import and drag from Explore window. Any of those methods resolve it? I know you did a clean install, but make sure all media cache files are deleted from system.  Rename the extension from .mp4 to .mov Make sure system and graphic drivers are up to date. If you recently updated, possibly reverting back to an older version. Use Handbreak to transcode the file. Not ideal, but should at least unblock you. Getting a sample file would be most helpful! FYI to all users, sorry, but this issue was not addressed in our 11.0.1 release. We're still in the process of resolving this issue. If the above preferred workarounds do not fix the problem, one other workaround is to change the media cache file directory so that it isn’t part of a user directory. i.e. remove it from /Users/[User_Name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe Common Hope to get a fix out to you guys soon. I’ve looked into solutions within Premiere and 3rd party tools and didn’t find anything useful. I spoke with some folks from the team who worked on implementing captions. To give a little background on how/why this was implemented the way it was. “It is somewhat intentional. To shoehorn the notion of captions into the video clip/track workflow, we had to treat things as if it were a special type of video media. As such, video often implies a specific number of pixels horizontally, and a certain number of pixels vertically. So the following defaults are in place: ·         CEA-608 = DV NTSC (e.g. 720x480) ·         CEA-708 = DV NTSC or DV NTSC Widescreen depending on the widescreen flag set in CEA-708 ·         EBU Teletext = DV PAL. This was all before the notion of open captions.  Now that we have open captions, the pixel size _does_ matter as it will affect the fidelity of the text. Unfortunately, for an SRT file, there’s no image dimensions in the file to tell us what it should be. It is just timecodes and text.” I wish I could provide you guys with a good solution for right now, but I’ve yet to find one. I’ll post back if I do. Hi Randy, Sorry for the confusion. That help doc is not accurate and I'll make sure it gets updated. Here's 3 things that you can try that have helped others. Again, we're still working on the fix and hope to get it out to you guys soon. Solutions: #1 1. Open the project as the original owner 2. Offline all files 3. Save the project with the files offlined 4. The project will now open for other users. Note: You can't hide the files. That doesn't work. You have the offline the project and save it that way. #2 1. Use terminal to change the ownership 2. chown -R username /path/to/project changes the ownership 3. Possible solution: Note: This last one hasn't been fully tested so your mileage may vary. 1. Create a new ROOT user  2. Log in as ROOT  3. Open the project and save the project 4. All other users should be able to open the project now Please let me know if any these solutions worked for you. Hi Ryan, This appears to be caused by applying legacy Luts. I've seen this issue under the follow conditions: User creates an 10.4/11.0 project which has legacy SpeedLooks Lumetri presets applied (i.e. SL Blue Cold (Canon 1D)) User copies the project to another OS (Win/Mac) User opens the project in software render mode Workaround: Delete Lumetri effects, re-apply preset or just disable. Does this issue occur only when updating projects from version 7.2.2 to 8.0? Or does this also happen when creating a new project in Premiere Pro version 8.0? 2. Hi All, I'm out on office on vacation but I've asked a few colleague to keep the investigation going. The files you provided imported fine into Premiere for me. Can you please try this workaround posted on another thread which seemed to resolve this issue for other users: "Try renaming or moving the folder with the media.  Then open the project in CC 2014.  It will ask you where the media is, point it to the renamed or moved folder." I don't see anything odd in your screen grabs. When you set the Time Remapping value to 1.0% on your clip does the duration of your clip in the Timeline lengthen?
