I have the same issue. I'm running the latest version (23.1) on a M1 MacBook Pro Running Montery OSX 12.6. I also have a weird slowdown after using AFX for 30 minutes or so. Speed drops to 50% or slower.

I find After Effects runs very fast and normally for a while, then starts to slow down suddenly. I restart it and it goes back to being fast for a while. It's like the M1 allocates memory away from it and hobbles it... anyone else notice this pattern?

This seems like a bug. Once you find one file, Illustrator should re-link all other instances automatically, and even find other missing files if they are in the same folder. Like Premiere and After Effects do.

It's an issue with the latest After Effects version. I'm forced to use AFX 2020 17.1 in order to do my work with the Element 3D plugin. Hopefully there's an update to the plugin or After Effects to make them work together again. Element hasn't been updated in years, so it's past due.

Macs have fewer problems with viruses. I haven't had a PC for a few years, but although it was inexpensive I could barely use it because it had so many software problems. I now use a 12 core mac pro and I pay for it every month from video ad work. Mac is a more pro option... unless I needed to build an animation studio... then I'd get a bunch of PCs

Rendering is twice as slow and seems to use a fraction of the processors. A render that took 6 hours is now taking 11, and the program isn't using all my processing power, I have a maxed out 12 core Mac Pro and activity monitor says after effects is using 9% of my processing. I guess I should be glad it's not taking 60 hours. I rebooted my system after the render was complete and speed has returned to normal. Phew. I'm curious if any one else had this weird glitch. Thanks.

The new update(s) over the last few days (June 17) seems to have made my renders twice as slow. When I look at the Mac OS S activity monitor, AFX is only using 9% of the system. I'm in the middle of a project and now my renders have gone from 6 hours to 11+. I'm using element 3D plugins. I'm on a 2013 Mac Pro. Recent OS

Yep I have this same problem. After 25+ years of Photoshop being on the market, we really shouldn't be losing work because the Hue and Saturation panel causes a program crash. Do better testing, hire more QA people, whatever it takes. This is basic stuff. I could understand if some experimental new feature caused a crash, but not reducing saturation. Thanks

Update: just checked this on procreate and the tilt works properly, so it's not a hardware or general iPad problem. Must be fresco. I'm sure it used to work normally otherwise I would have noticed sooner. It's a real issue as it affects my entire workflow. It's like drawing with a broken pencil!

I find the pencil tilt only works in one direction, I think this is a bug. When you angle the Apple Pencil, the pencil line should get thicker like a real pencil does on paper. This only works in Fresco in one direction; I have to rotate the paper 90 degrees to get a thicker line. This isn't how it's supposed to work. It's the angle of the pencil that matters, not the direction of the paper. im using the first generation pencil and a 2nd Gen 12.9 iPad Pro.

Illustrator version 24.1, and OS 10.15.3 I was able to get it to work by not dropping swatches onto the gradient line, but by changing an existing gradient (the standard black to white one). I just clicked on the black dot and changed the color from there. I think it's a narrow bug involving dragging color chips onto the line. Good luck, thanks.

I'm trying to make a gradient, and as soon as I drop a color on the gradient line, the program shuts down. I have the current mac osx and illustrator version as of March 30, 2020.

I'm having similar problems in Photoshop 2020 on a mac. It appears that the character style functions don't work at all, and type defaults at half the size that I specified. I thought maybe it had to do with retina display; it's trying to display the font at a size appropriate for your monitor instead of the measurements of my copied text.

So... I just got a new Wacom Cintiq 16 pro and started using it with photoshop. Three times while drawing, it caused photoshop to hard crash... it just blanked off the screen. It didn't shut down or reboot the computer, just crashed without warning and caused me to lose progress. I'm sure it's just a software issue, but a disturbing one because it makes photoshop quite unreliable. If I were working on a big project instead of the little storyboard I was doing I'd be quite upset. Anyone else have this problem? Hopefully they patch this bug in the driver or in a future photoshop update. Im using a 2013 Mac Pro with the latest Catalina and adobe updates. OS X 10.15 and Photoshop 21.1

Premiere 2020 doesn't link with Adobe After Effects 2020. It says After Effects is not installed, when it is and is running. Why is this so difficult... I really hoped you'd improve this feature, not break it. Please hire more QA testers.

Resetting my preferences on the Mac by holding down option on startup worked. Dear Adobe: please fix the way preference files are saved so they don't become so easily corrupted. This has been an issue for decades.

It my opinion, Rotobrush is garbage. Several masks tracked in the Mocha plugin is the best option, but a quick and dirty way to go is After Effect's mask tracking. You just have to do the mask track on video footage then use that as a mask.

Duplicate the video footage, create a mask over the area you want to track and track the mask. It will create a cropped area that should track your space properly. Now position that video above your text and select Alpha channel track matte on the text layer (you may need to select inverted). The text should only appear in that area you tracked!
