The "Transparency Grid" is not the answer to my initial post. See the attached photo for the missing options in 2019 which are affecting my "surround" color when previewing the images. It used to be independent of the interface shade options. Now, in 2019, it is wholly dependent on the interface shading, so that one cannot choose a light interface, and still get a dark gray or a black surround during preview.

I have reset the Camera Raw Preferences (as illustrated) multiple times. I am in Bridge 2019, Mac OS Mojave, and the error keeps returning whether I save the Camera Raw Cache to my internal, or an external drive. It is currently very exasperating to reset my defaults and now also having to recheck all my favorited presets each time. Does the index.dat file found in the Adobe Camera Raw Cache folder serve as the backup for all these settings? This is nuts.

This feature, "Image Backdrop" has been notoriously removed in the CC 2019 update. The previous version of Bridge has a preference option (under INTERFACE) for "Image Backdrop" where this could be changed to black, even while the overall workspace was set to light. Please resolve/bring back.

This just happened to us on Mac OS Sierra and Photoshop cc2017. A file reporting in the lower left corner it was 144mb, flattened, no extra layers or channels, 8-bit, RGB, ACTUALLY saved as a 956mb file to the Hard drive. The only workaround was to create a new file of the same dimensions and drag and drop the Background layer to the new document. Only then did it save as 144mb.

Thank you, Bill. I've run a document-wide Find/Change format of Advanced Character Formats-->change Arabic to English USA. Then, I've saved the file as a copy. When that copy doc is opened, and a text box is copied from it and pasted into another fresh document, Arabic reappears.

Thank you, Bill. What happens if you adjust the language in the Character Panel and Paragraph Styles Panel after you paste in the text frames? ANSWER: It fixes/works/becomes English USA. What happens if you just copy and paste the text from the original document into a fresh text frame in the new InDesign file? ANSWER: It pastes as Arabic (dictionary), and flushes right.

When a text box is copied from the offending document and into another fresh Indesign document, from another computer (or TO another computer) it still pastes as Arabic, and flushes right.

This is happening to us in the CC2018 13.1 version. I only saw one earlier example mentioned in the Forums (with CC2014). Whenever a chunk of text, or text box is pasted into a fresh document, the language is Arabic. [Basic Paragraph] and all other styles have been set to English USA, and even though I do a find format/change format in the offending document, it still pastes as Arabic. Exporting to .IDML, and reimporting did not solve.

And, seriously, how hard would it be to give Camera Raw (Bridge) the same cropping choices as are in Lightroom and Photoshop (i.e., Fibonacci, Triangle, Diagonal, etc.)? This disparity in features is inexcusable and embarrassing. Surely the teams communicate?

Nasty news. One cannot (though Adobe advises!) run the Uninstaller for Photoshop CC. It removes the Bridge: Tools: Photoshop scripts, i.e. "Image Processor." I reinstalled the older (CC) version, and the scripts returned—HOWEVER—the scripts STILL don't work. It launches the CC2014 version, and delivers an error message (attached).

Please, PLEASE have the team add the SAME CROP OVERLAYS to the Bridge Camera RAW editor as are in both the Lightroom and the Photoshop Crop Overlays.It's very frustrating and seems to make no sense to leave this out of the camera RAW editor in Bridge.
