Same issue. Can hover over shapes, paths etc and can see everything. But as soon as you move away, the objects look like they are not selected and have no way to grab or select points. Even in wireframe mode they are ridiculously difficult to grab. As you posted a new document created in CC 2019 doesn't have this issue...however saving an older document in 2019 doesn't eliminate it. Backwards comparability within versions of your own software wouldn't be too hard to ask for would it Adobe? When will we all learn Adobe are shite. They care only about rolling out updated to justify charging a subscription. Obviously they use us paying customers as guinea pigs and don't bother to think about how users use the software let alone test it.  Why try to fix something that isn't broken! Sh*theads. Having said that...its always been broken. There's never been an consistency for shortcuts across the suite. Ctrl + D means so many different things, controls work differently, modifiers work different. Totally agree....I'm entirely fed up with Adobe rolling out updates that for the most part result in users having to 're-learn' everything we've been used to. New workflows, new shortcuts....none of which are improvements, just changes. Unnecessary changes at that. Not to mention the fact I seriously doubt they test any of this before it gets released....they let us paying customers do that 😕 I have lost so many hours of work having to crawl through the forums looking for fixes to things Adobe 'fix' when it was never broken in the first place. This change to what is essentially a fundamental and universal control is ridiculous at best. What's next Adobe? Changing Ctrl /Cmd + S from being Save, to Flatten image...utter nonsense. For what its worth, check out Affinity (Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher) from Serif. I'm getting to grips with the free trials and can see me moving to them soon. Same sh*t for me. Updated to the latest version just an hour ago and boom....bridge is a digital brick. That's what I'm calling it from now on Adobe Brick.  Freezes as soon as it opens, even if its only previewing one image (a 10MB) file at that. I dare not touch anything for 10 minute or it stops responding. I'm not really surprised, coming on here after every single update Adobe releasing is seemingly becoming a right of passage. Karlita I think you kind of missed the point of why I suggested this. Its to enhance exactly what you say us 'loosers' should be doing...and a tad hypocritical. Why dont we name an organise layers?....I already do, colour coding those organised and named layer groups adds another level of organisation. Particularly if you're working as part of a team, colour coding can help organise folder content types as some folders may have components that include images, text etc..all named properly. Addin colour coding helps users find things quicker. Saying ots not needed is akin to me saying hey f*ck it you dont need to name your layers just chuck them into folders, thats organisation enough. The rest of the Adobe suite allows for so mamy more options for layer and group colour, so its not just about improving workflow and organisation between teams and designers/artists but also about consistency across the adobe suite of products...but hey, what do i know Im a looser thats only been teachig Photoshop and running my own design studio for 17 years 😜 ... Bang on the money Doug I just thought it was worth mentioning that in Beverly's case its not an absolute 'no-go'. Sometimes people will scan read and really just see the 'you can't' portion of the message. As you've mentioned though "of course you can draw a path on top of an existing internal point, though, if you have auto add/delete off and/or the path deselected." Alexandre, I struggled with this for a while too. Didn't matter if my image was in CMYK color mode or RGB color mode. If I double clicked a fill swatch to open the color picker and added any value, even if I manually selected a color as soon as I hit enter it would go some shade of grey. The work around that I've found is to open the color panel (Window > Color (F6 I think is the keyboard shortcut) at the bottom right of it there is a box for hexadecimal values. When I enter the value in there (whether in RGB or CMYK) then hit enter it applied the color. Still can't get the actual color picker to work though...but at least this seems to work. Aye, this CC subscription is getting beyond a joke. Every time a new update comes out paying customers have relentless, needless issues that infringe on our ability to do our jobs. There's no need for half of these updates, PS CC 2018 is virtually unusable for any creative professional, full of more bugs than the underside of a damp log. I'll be requesting a refund too and might very well wave goodbye to Adobe and move to Affinity apps instead. Having a similar issue since I updated Photoshop to CC 2018 (build 19.1.3 20180323.r.293). I'm not just getting the issue with the brush tool but also when I try to transform a layer, I'll grab the transform handle, go to drag to scale and the image pans as if I hand the hand tool selected or pressing the space bar. I've had all sorts of issues since updating to CC2018, 2017 worked fine. Going to delete the preferences file and try again, I'll let you guys know if that helps any. Same for me. Just updated a week ago and it feels like Photoshop just got up and needs a dozen espressos. So slow to do a lot of even the most basic of tasks. While I certainly can’t rule out the possibility of actual Photoshop issues mentioning your hardware proves nothing. I'm sorry but that's just not true. If the hardware hasn't changed and the issues are arising since a software update, then you can pretty much rule out hardware, and rule in software being the core of the issue. I do get the point you're making though, but if hardware didn't matter it wouldn't be one of the first things the staff here want to know when a user encounters problems. I've been using Photoshop since Photoshop 7 and have it optimized to the hilt (right down to thumbnails off in the layers panel) and CC 2018 is like swimming uphill through tar. Same issue. Just updated to the latest version yesterday and it feels so unstable...or at least very clunky. (64 bit, 1TB hard drive, 16GB ram 3+Ghz quadcore, so doubtful if the machine is struggling with a 1080p psd with 2 layers). I agree totally with hansolocambo​ using a Wacom tablet is and has been for years (since about CS1) an absolute nightmare with Photoshop. I've lost count how many times I've had to uninstall, reinstall, update (repeat ad-nauseam) 'wacom' drivers when Adobe release an update. I'm pretty convinced Adobe believe Wacom are a myth as there seems to be little if any communication or beta testing between the two. And yea Adobe I'm looking at you...another company's drivers aren't the issue when the issue only shows its face when YOU release an updated version of YOUR software. There are always work arounds but it would be nice (as a paying customer) if.....just once, updating CC didn't involve revisiting and troubleshooting a list of pre-existing problems and work-arounds, all for the sake of a few features which serve little purpose than to massage your virtual ego....while removing or changing features that your users rely on.  And on that note if you go to Select > (press shift while selecting) Select and Mask you'll be able to access the old refine edge dialogue, which is immeasurable superior to the new Select and Mask effort (I'm calling it an effort because, well, it is...its a piece of steaming beige dog sh*te) that doesn't seem capable of getting close to the results of the old Refine Edge options. Hey Adam, It all depends too on what version of Illustrator you are running. Color SVG fonts are only compatible with a few programs at the minute: Illustrator CC 2018+ and Photoshop CC 2017+ are Adobe’s only apps that officially support & display color fonts (InDesign CC 2018 got unofficial support) The black appearance that you are getting is an indicator that your version doesn't support the Open color svg format and it is using the simpler, backwards compatible format. Its a feature that already exists in illustrator, (and to a degree indesign) which is what confuses me as to how Adobe go about developing/testing their software. Features that would, or should be included in the entire suite seem to get overlooked or altered between products without much reason. Even simple things like inconsistencies in keyboard shortcuts (granted those can be changed).
