Alt + click on an action or action step(s) and drag to duplicate them. You can duplicate steps within an action or drag them into another action. Additionally, you can rearrange steps simply by dragging them around. Single or multiple steps can also be dragged into another action without duplicating them. Just remember not to press Alt while dragging or releasing.

I am unsure how import in Lightroom can reduce file size or dimensions. What does your camera or File Info indicate? Can you confirm that the files have the same size and dimensions in the first place? Download the files and use Bridge, for example, to check the metadata.

If I understand you correctly, that's not a new or recent addition. If you have an overlay, it will select that layer regardless of what you want beneath it. The workaround is to lock the overlaying layer.

Your best option is likely to create (download or request) a script that retrieves the metadata and writes it onto a layer. Along the way, you can use a script or action to replace the cloned smart object layer, which will update the other five instances. This is feasible if the files or images you want to use share the same dimensions and resolution. Otherwise, data sets may be a better option, as images can be scaled seamlessly on the fly using the built-in feature.

What is your goal? Are you trying to add a stroke on a separate layer using the Edit > Stroke option or the right-click > Stroke command? It works for me without any issues. The only suggestion I have is to reset your preferences, as this situation seems a bit unusual. Edit: I was able to reproduce the situation. By switching to the selection tool, such as the Rectangular Marquee Tool, before right-clicking, the error message will disappear.

By default, any new brush you create is only stored in the Brushes panel and is not saved elsewhere. All unsaved brushes, presets, and actions are temporarily kept in a Preferences file. Your only chance of retrieving unsaved brushes from that file is if you have regular backups; otherwise, if you lose them, they cannot be retrieved and will be permanently lost. So remember to always save presets, including brushes, as files on your drive and to back them up regularly, just in case. Saved brushes can be lost due to significant computer failures.
