Title editor with Transmit

I am working with a 25i (50i) 1080 sequence using Transmit via a BM card to my Panasonic Plasma. All is fine until I open a title, then I find the Transmit output switches to 25P which my monitor does not handle so the screen goes blank. Anyone know how to keep the output interlaced? 11.0.1 (6) windows 10 i7 32Gb ram 970

The usual short cut for Premiere to select edit points in both the source and program monitor is 'i' for in and 'o' for out.

If it is just a simple name caption Premiere is ideal, if you want to animate the words use AFX. If you go the AFX route have a look at Live Text this allows you to create a template in AFX but you can change the names in Premiere.

Although both the standard and wide versions of the NTSC menu have the same pixel size, the shape of the pixels is different. The pixel aspect ratio (PAR) is more rectangular for the widescreen version. A Google for PAR will give you more details.

I too am sorry to see the audio effect I use the most relegated to the obsolete folder. Those of us that have used traditional lim/comps over the years can easily configure the effect to get the required result. The newer replacements don't seem as easy or as comprehensive.

Not quite sure how the recording software can change the sound of your voice, that is mainly determined by the mic and recording hardware. If you like Adobe you could try Audition.

What, I think , you are looking for is auto ducking, where the music volume is reduced during the vos. Premiere does not have this but you could send the project to Audition where this effect is available, I have not use it myself so I can't comment on how good it is. As a (very old) trained sound mixer I prefer to do the level changes manually using the fader automation, you can make the music duck on musical phrases rather than the less subtle auto method.

I've just had a look at CS6, you get this option for the imported file, you might be able to swop the channels around to make the export correct.

As you have found CS6 uses a non standard 5.1 track format, this was changed with the CC versions to match the Dolby standard. You could break out the 5.1 into mono tracks and then use this method to create the required track order. 6 mono tracks to 5.1

Unless the recording devices are locked together they will always drift, the amount of drift depends mainly on the quality of the recorders, My Tascams drift about 5 frames/hr, my old Zoom is about 1 sec/hr. My two Sony cameras are within a frame/hr.

There is a good chance that your ipad recorded the video using variable frame rate, this might be the reason the audio has drifted, Try converting it to constant frame rate with a program like Handbrake.

My EX cameras record interlaced (50i) at the full HD resolutions, make sure your sequence and export settings match if your material is also interlaced.

You have a 25i sequence, if is for dvd try and export at 25i rather than deinterlacing. You could try one of the Mpeg2dvd presets, this is the required dvd format.
