What does '200 pp.' Mean? Pages? If you mean pages: what is the source? Word? PDF? In short: we need more info to be able to answer you. If it is a Word file: Use a Primary Text Frame and the Text preference 'Auto flow text' OR Do not use a primary text frame(!!) - uncheck this when creating a new InDesign document - and choose File/Place and after selecting the text file hold the SHIFT key when clicking on the first page. But the best option: buy a book or follow some training to learn how to work with InDesign first!

The tabruler always snaps to the top of a textframe when clicking on the magnet, so make sure there is simply enough room at the top from the text frame and the ruler on your screen, if not InDesign simply has no room enough at the top. Try scrolling your document so the top of the textframe shifts a little down and try again.

Do NOT set the dots hetein the TOC defenition! you have ^y which means a right indent tabe, very good. Now, create a paragraph style to use in your TOC and in that style just place a tab position in the ruler *anywhere* you like. Give that tab a point as fill character. The right indent tab picks up that fill character (like a dot) and uses that. iI your screenshot you now use 03 body text, create a new style with the tab and use that for your TOC entry instead.

amaarora : That does NOT work (as you can see from your own screenshot...). you have to convert a cell to an inage cell, select that and give that a rounded corner, you will have to do so for each 'corner'-cell or follow the steps Jeff showed.

If you start your document in a CMYK space and export to a RGB PDF (and vica versa) you will see this message. You can set the blend space to RGB or CMYK for your document according to what is desired. In most cases on export it is a dialog you can dismiss on export (hence the do not show again option). But you say you loose some effects, can you tell us what that is?

The fact that Adobe puts an advert button on any document we want to embed makes it impossible to use for clients.
Them by all means remove this, easy. Change 'embed' to 'view' like this: 'https://indd.adobe/view/ You can also embed it in a simple html that you can host on your own website and no one will even notice they are looking at an embedded file. Example: http://fvdgeest.nl/example.html A simple HTMl file containing this code: "<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="1" height="768" src="https://indd.adobe.com/view/3a6b62fa-a0ad-4242-9d7a-fe3a9ceaa36f" style="border: 1px solid #777;" width="1024"></iframe><br />"

What is the setting in your Preferences / Interface / Options? Is the Live Screen Drawing set to Delayed or never? Try changing this setting, you will see a difference 😉

Moving the Script Panel folder simply does nothing at all. It is just a bunch of scripts that get listed in InDesign. But they do nothing, it can have zero impact on performance. If things are really better you have done something else as well without realizing it it seems.

I was happy to see a PDF download option, clicked on it, but was surprised to see how large the PDF is – 62MB! Large even for a 47-page document. Not very well optimized. I opened the downloaed PDF in Acrobat Pro, did a "Save As" and clicked on "Reduce File Size." It shrunk down to 11MB and still has plenty of detail.
Nice idea. Looks slick. But the new Adobe interactive digital publishing technology has to work on all platforms to be a success.
‌ Take a look at the second options pane shen Publishing Online: youcan choose the PDF preset for the PDF, choose one with low er res etc. to create a smaller PDF.

‌You can't, this is normal behaviour. You need to give readers a clue on tablets that they can scroll.

‌For the first time in a few months I had to work on a book file: 16 chapters in the bookfile, many cross refs. I resaved them all and updated the book file also. In CC 2014 I could work fine, in CC 2015 it is simply unusable! A simple text edit (selecting a single word and typing over it) slowed things to a crawl! The Mac spinning ball for a few seconds. In short: not possible to edit text as it took forever on every single character I typed. unusable slow! ah... I long for those CS6 days...

‌As Peter said, InDesign does not have a History panel; a third party plug in could have come from either DTPTools or 65bit, both have/had this kind of plug in. DTP Tools - History for Adobe InDesign/InCopy http://www.65bit.com/software/easyhistory/

See screenshots on how it is displayed as it should be in XI and earlier and how it is displayed in DC! Note the background and note the white areau around the close button that should not be there... I've said it a few times before: this DV version has Vista written all over it!!!
