Thanks Michael for your reply. The PS color settings are the same in both versions. Nothing has changed. The default RAW values in ACR are in "Camera Settings". Note: I realized working on a night photo: in ACR everything appears normal. When you go to Photoshop the most obvious for me were some shadow areas with a little reddish tones and some others slightly more contrasted. I just thought there were some settings changed but everything was in order. I'm on a calibrated 27 "5K iMac and I guess that allowed me to realize the problem. I repeat: now everything is normal but I had to downgrade to PS v22.4.2

After the last update I found a color discrepancy when going from ACR to Photoshop. I was working everything in 16 bit AdobeRGB. After returning to 22.4.2, everything worked fine again.

Since today I updated to Big Sur 11.3 I cant access to my Creative Cloud Desktop App.
After minutes trying to log, appears one message saying I must REPAIR. Click on int and download de desktop app, and the history repeats again.

S_Gans Thank you for your response. Both features (Curves and Levels histogram changes -when the layer is a clipping mask; and the ability to move Gradient Fill after click the editor) they were in PS 2019. That is why I find it very strange that PS 2020 has lost them.

Hi, I still having two annoying problems: The first occurs when I add a curve or level adjustment layer the histogram in the properties evaluates the whole image. If I make a selection and copy it to a new layer (below the curves) obviously the histogram in the curves properties remains the same. But if I convert the curves to a clipping layer affecting only the small copy, the histogram remains the same too!! I assume that the normal behavior would be the histogram showing the clipping information. The other problem is: if I add a GRADIENT FILL LAYER (not a gradient map or simple gradient applied with the gradient tool). I´m able (at this point) to move the position of the gradient by clicking and dragging in the canvas. But if I access to the Gradient Editor, don´t matter if I do some edition or not, I´m unable to move the gradient again. Must to do an additonal step: click OK and then double click the thumbnail of the Gradient Fill layer to be able to move again the gradient. I would appreciate any suggestion or if you tell me please if I'm misunderstanding something please. PLEASE HELP!!! Trying to fix the histogram inconsistency problem in clipping masks I discovered a workaround: go to Preferences> Performance> check Legacy Compositing. BUT after that try this please: on a color image add a Black and White adjustment layer, put it in Soft Light blending mode for example and now... surprise! The image remains black and white, even if you lower the opacity to zero. What's more, turn off the black and white layer and your image continues in black and white !!! So I left everything as before and the histogram is still wrong. It seems there is something very wrong with this version.

Thanks for your response Glenn, "If you make the gradient and accept it without changing the stop positions, then reopen the gradient, I can change the position of it then." Yes, that´s correct. This is let's say the only work aroundfor now 😞 On the other hand, this problem occurs when you do anything in the editor: select a preset, type of gradient, etc, of course when you edit the stops as well. This problem has returned with PS 21.2: When we add a gradient fill layer and make an edit in the Gradient Editor it is no longer possible to move the location of the gradient. I would appreciate any info about.

Thanks a lot for your response. Maybe would be a good idea bring back that feature in the next release, or add an option for switch to previous version, for example something as the trick to switch beteween Select and Mask and Refine Edge. Best regards.

On Apr 22, 2020 you wrote in response to the Guy_Burns post "Possible to show correct histogram with mask turned off?": If an Adjustment Layer has a Layer Mask it would not seem surprising that the resulting Histogram was different for with/without the Mask... And precisely is for that I´m surprising, because the case I´m presenting is so similar. I noticed this problem after updating to 21.2 In the previous version 21.1.3 this works normal. I posted a bug report in Photoshop Family, any way I uploading an image that shows the inconsistency. Thanks again, I really appreciate your comment.

This is an example on how the problem occurs (Ps 21.2): 1.- select one zone of your image 2.- duplicate it (by Command/Ctrl+j for example) 3.- add a adjustment layer (curves or levels) 4.- you can see an histogram (in the curve or levels properties) corresponding the whole image 5.- now convert this layer (the curve or levels) to clipping mask And here is where the "bug" appear: The histogram remains the same (corresponding the whole image). Normally this histogram must to change to correspond to only the info in the layer just below. NOTE 1: this problem no exists in v21.1.3 NOTE 2: by the way, the "normal behavior" in the histogram is shown if we turn off the original image (ie if we leave active the layer with the duplicate area and clipping mask). I would appreciate any ideas or workaround

Photoshop 2020 freezes (hangout) when you create a GRADIENT FILLING LAYER and enter the gradient editor and try to make modifications: 1) if you edit the gradient, when you start modifying it it freezes; 2) If you only choose another one, when you click OK to accept the change, it also freezes.
