I'm guessing that, since Audition's internal format is WAV, the edited file, when saved as aiff or flac, is, in effect, a new creation. Not ideal, but that might be what's going on. Always work on a duplicate, I guess.

I still don't know what causing this. I think you have to examine the source settings and see how they differ from the settings in your new session. What are you trying to do when you copy the files? If the level is low you can try raising the mix level before exporting, or normalizing the exported file.

I think the best you can do is caption that section, or, alternatively, do a voice over summarizing what was said, along the lines of: "Sharon said how much he meant to her...."

Yikes! I tried a number of denoise plugins that I have...It's not a matter of the voice being masked, .I just don't think there's any real information in the file.

i really don't know what the issue is. Can you give us screen shoots of the session and your export settings? How different are the levels? As I say, if the track levels or mix level is different then of course the result will differ. Are you normalizing the source tracks? Are you exporting to a loudness standard? I'm afraid we need much more detail to even guess what' going on.

I'm fairly puzzled, but have you made sure all the tracks are being sent to an active bus? BTW, Creative Cloud Synced files have been discontinued.

Not sure what you're doing. Are you adding files to a multi-track session? The level you set on the track could be affecting things. Can you give us a step by step description of your process?

It really seems from the info on the Canon site that they don't support mounting the camera as a drive on Mac OS. It seems to me that Lightroom's behaviour is the anomaly, rather than Premiere's. Not that that helps you 🙂

Hmm...I presume you're already using the "auto crossfade in overlapping clips" option. You could create a favourite in the waveform editor and batch process the clips, but I suspect that a "one fade fits all" action is going to run into problems. Further thoughts (take them or leave them): Mic placement and technique is, of course, the first line of defense in controlling breath sounds. Also, majority opinion seems to be that removing all breath sounds results in an unnatural presentation. Finally, there are a variety of plug-ins for breath control. iZotope RX Breath Control is popular.

I doubt that there's any way to do that. Is this to show to a client? You could host the file on something like Vimeo, behind a password , disable downloads, and change the password or delete the file once the client views it. Or, get better clients 🙂

Are you running Sequoia 15.3.1? If so, see this discussion. I'm not using this version of the OS, but I'm wondering if stepping back a version in Premiere might help, or if you've tried the latest Premiere beta. To be clear, I have no actual knowledge of what could be causing this, but I'd try different versions of the app if I were in your position.

Right, I see that now. In fact, the effect I pointed out is the same as the one in the original post. My mistake. As a Mac only user, I never knew what I was missing.

Yes Neil, pulling the separator down certainly has that effect. Works for me. The only issue is I see is that once it's done,. it's not obvious how to restore them to view. The separator becomes pretty inconspicuous. Might confuse some people. Audition's track management seems more robust.
