hi @Биробиджан31756925gv2j ,    It looks like the Expressions in your Mogrts haven't been "Universalized," meaning the creator didn't make the Expressions index-based. When they are not index-based, they won't work when the app is set to different languages.    There is a tool on aescripts.com that will walk through all of the Expressions in a project and make sure they will be compatible with all languages called the Expression Universalizer. https://aescripts.com/expressionuniversalizer/    You can open .mogrts in AE, run the Expression Universalizer, and re-export the mogrt to fix this issue.  To open a .mogrt in AE use the following steps: Launch AE Use File > Open Select the Mogrt file Follow the dialog that pops up and asks you what folder you want top extract the project to and boom you've got the .aep Every Mogrt has the related .aep inside   All Adobe Stock Mogrts are supposed to be Universalized though so that is weird to me. Unfortunately, it's hard to advise without seeing a screenshot of what's happening and without having the project or Mogrt itself to troubleshoot.  Is there anyway you can send me a screenshot, a simplified project that is repro'ing the issue, and the Mogrt itself via DM?  It will be much easier for our devs and me to try and sort out the problems that way.  Alternatively, is there a reason you need to use TIFFs? That's something that maybe hindering performance on your machine. Maybe that's why your college on the Mac isn't having issues? What are your system specs?  ... View more

Hi Y'all...  This isn't supported because properties that get added to the Essential Graphics Panel and get exported to Mogrtland can only represent 1 value at a time.  The control in Premiere can only tell Tiny Inception After Effects (nested inside Premiere Pro to make Mogrts work) “make this Opacity 60” ... it can’t tell Tiny Inception AE, “make the opacity go from 20 - 60 in 3 seconds from time 1 to time 4.”   It's a limitation in how the communication between Premiere and Tiny Inception AE works.  One control can only be one value once we're in Premiere Pro.   But there are a couple of workarounds if we just abstract things a bit.   You can add add a few keyframes to a property and then add controls to those individual keyframes so that you can change those values once you're in Premiere.  There are a couple of ways to accomplish this. We could: Add two sliders to control the value for each of the keyframes and then use a linear expression to make it all come together. Or we could even hook up text controls to be the input control for those values. I've added two example mogrts with each of these approaches in this link. Slider and Text Controls for Counting Animation Mogrts - Google Drive   You can open up the Mogrt natively in AE with the following steps: Launch AE Use File > Open Select the Mogrt file Follow the dialog that pops up and asks you what folder you want top extract the project to and boom you've got the .aep Every Mogrt has the .aep and related media inside      The Number Range mogrt uses two sliders to drive keyframe 1 and keyframe 2 values + a linear expression. This is the most basic set up and the drawback here is that the animation gets distracting when the number goes from singles, to tens, to hundreds. We'd prefer the first number not to move on the first digit and just expand from there. You may already have an expression that is performing this for you in your project so you may need to do some work to marry these functions. The second Mogrt in the link uses two text controls and a slightly different approach than the first to keep the numbers counting up smoothly. I wanted to be able to change the font and font style so I chose to use text controls. This means the end-user can only input numbers into the text control. But a comment in the Mogrt can easily guide this.   You may notice something different about this expression setup when you open it. I'm using a .jsx file with functions that make it a little bit easier to do some complex stuff. The .jsx file stores a ton of complex code that allows us to use simpler terms for functions, and add arguments to those functions in a clearer way. It's kind of like "wiggle()"... wiggle is actually a really complex block of code that got abstracted to something easier to use. The .jsx file in the Mogrt I shared is a collection of functions that are meant to make complex expressions a bit easier to get into, and can improve performance.   There are about 40 functions that were designed with Mogrt authors in mind.    My favorite solution to the "can't keyframe in Premiere problem" limitation is to use a combo of a few functions called "keyframesToControllers" and "retimeKeyframes" that give you the power to not only change the values of specific keyframes but also slip them in time. The other amazing thing about both of these functions is that your curves are respected even after making changes. Add Responsive Time to your Mogrt and rig some controls to some stand-in keyframes and you've got some basic keyframing-actions (i.e. setting values and changing them in time) in Premiere.  Here are some links if you want to learn more about these. Hi @Tomas B. aka Tom10,    The Media Replacement Control is bound to the dimensions, duration, and frame rate of the image or video that the control was created with. So there is no way for the frame to match the aspect ratio of the new media even if you had access to it with expressions if you were also trying to use Media Replacement.  This is set in stone and was foundational to get the feature working to begin with so I don’t see it changing any time soon. There are some interesting workarounds that I have heard about that use sampleImage() that look for where the alpha begins to determine a border.  There is a lengthy discussion about the matter here. and the awesome A.Cobb has shared a solution and sample project on that thread as well. Then I'm using a unidirectional box blur to average the alpha values of the pixels across that divide. That alpha value then represents the ratio of the number of pixels on each side of the boundary. Sample that value with sampleImage, and then the location of the boundary can be calculated through very basic arithmetic. This is for sure needed and on the list of feature requests for remaining text expressions to enable for users.  In the meantime, there is this handy little workaround that was shared to me by a Mogrt Genius who was able to use Expression Selectors and some creative JavaScript to create a mark-up style way to do substring editing, i.e. make some letters bold, or subscript, or superscript.  In the example shared in the attached file the end user simply puts special characters around the characters that they want to be bold within the text edit control. Hi @khan28034583v3qt  Are you seeing missing thumbnails for your mogrts as well? or are you only getting the GDI Error? Did you try deleting the ProBrowser folder as suggested earlier in this thread? lear out the folder where the cached thumbnails are kept by deleting the ProBrowser folder.Premiere will generate new thumbnails on launch.   On mac: /var/folders/<>/<>/T/ProBrowser Folders are in hidden libraries so for Mac: Go to Finder > View Hold the Alt / Opt key down to reveal the hidden Libraries Option  Navigate to the depths of your hidden library folders. Search Finder for “/var” and then you have to hunt through the folders that are not blocked for you until you find the /T/ProBrowser folder.   On Win : Users/<>/AppData/Local/Temp/ProBrowser Open the Control Panel. Select File Explorer Options. Select the View tab of the File Explorer Options window. Choose Show hidden files, folders, and drives > Apply > OK.   You can also just type %AppData% in the Run bar to get to access to those folders.   ... View more

  Hi @CRFlanagan,   You are in a mode where you are viewing mogrts from both Local and CC Libs vie. The option to "Copy to Local" and the inability to Delete indicated that you're looking at a mogrt in CC Libraries.  Having no check is the equivalent of "showing all."   Check on only the Local Templates View if you don't want to see any mogrts of your personal or shared CC Libs accounts.       If that's not the case, it may be an issue that you have a set of stale Mogrt thumbnails.    Navigate to the depths of your hidden library folders. Search Finder for "/var" and then you have to hunt through the folders that are not blocked for you until you find the /T/ProBrowser folder.    On mac: /var/folders/<>/<>/T/ProBrowser  Delete that folder and Premiere will generate a new set of thumbnails for you.  Lemme know if any of the above works out   Thanks!      ... I'm going to blow your mind... you can already do that!  Just drag and drop all of the Mogrts you want to install directly into the EGP!    The other thing you can do right now is go to the Hamburger Menu in the EGP and select "Manage Additional Folders." This will allow you to hook up the EGP to your own folders on disk, networked drives, or the cloud. You can add mogrts in there and they will appear in the EGP. This option adds a dropdown to all of your mapped folders and you can filter accordingly.  ... View more

@SquareEyz,  My pleasure!! I love a good mystery to dive into :magnifying_glass_tilted_right: !! ... Do you recomend using offline file placeholders instead of my homemade 4k placeholder files- if end trimmig remains an issue?  I started off with offline placeholders, but durring previous debugging efforts I wanted to confirm playback so built a placeholder with a spinning wheel in the corner.   OOOooo Maybe these offline placeholders are what borked the controls 🤔? I definitely don't recommend that.  My best recommendation is to make a shorter video for your placeholder. I think the one you had in the Mogrt you shared was 2:30 min long. Thats pretty long for a Mogrt. I would try one that is 20 seconds and then let me tell you about a couple of tricks that you can consider... The media or layer that is used to create the MR Control defines the Dimensions, Duration, and Frame Rate. If you have a 20 second default placeholder video, but you only want the "time container" of the MR Control to be 15 seconds, then you can create a Precomp with your desired Dimensions, Duration, and Frame Rate nest the 20 second clip in this Precomp  and use the Precomp as the layer that you drag and drop into the EGP to create your MR Control!   The MR Control will only be 15 seconds long because it's defined by the Precomp.  Additionally, if you want time to be more malleable on the Premiere side, you can add Protected Regions to the Primary Comp to make the Mogrt have Responsive Time in Premiere. This means you'll be able to stretch or squish the track item in Premiere. This will make the Media Replacement control's time container shorter or longer-- it doesn't re-time anything but it allows for a longer or shorter replacement clip in Premiere if needed.  Last option... is you can right-click on the MR Control in the EGP in AE and you will get the option to replace a video with a thumbnail or Adobe's default thumbnail.   this will ensure that you don't bloat your mogrt with a video that takes up a lot of memory. Images inherit the Duration of the Primary Comp so you'll end up with a layer that is the exact length of your Mogrt.     I know I threw a lot at you, but I hope this is helpful!  Dacia ... Hi @SquareEyz,    Me again.. whale... The mystery isn't totally solved but here's the update.  The first clue was that Trimmed Layers warning that is thrown when trying to re-export your Mogrt. The beginning of the video layer used to create the Media Replacement layer isn't trimmed at the beginning but at the end! Sneaky!  So! I created a 15-second clip from your original media and tried to Alt-Replace the layers in your comp but that didn't work.  I added the 15-second clip to a new comp, offset the layers at 1 and 3 seconds, added the Radial Wipe, Fill and Motion Blur and exported that and VOILA! The video played in Premiere after I swapped the media and played in the offset way as expected.  I've added a screen recording and the re-created mogrt in the same folder linked in my previous message so you can check it out and see that it works. But! I can't get anything exported out of your comp to work. Why doesn't it work from your comp ...even with the shorter clips? I don't know.    I did a really ugly copy/ paste of your other layers into the new comp with the 15-second clips and shoddy effects made, exported that and that works too!  dang! what a mess. It looks like you're original comp got borked with that 2:30 min clip / trimmed clip not allowed business.   Anywho! There are a lot of working but not very pretty mogrts in here.    My best advise is to always make the media that you're going to use to make your MR Control as short as the Mogrt is going to be. Even if you add Responsive Time, you'll be better off.    To re-cap:  Offsetting Layers in After Effects is totally supported and OK!  Create short clips of your media and then import them into After Effects because Trimming is not supported  Time Remaps, Time Speeds, Freeze Frames and Time Effects are not supported in Premeire either.  Sometimes you gotta take your layers and put them into a new comp because computers are weird and gremlins abound.    Cheers, Dacia           ... @SquareEyz and @AnnikaKoenig,    This is not the takeaway I want you to have or to amplify. We worked really hard to make offsetting video layers in time in After Effects work in Premiere for Media Replacement. I've added a link to a silly and basic Mogrt that I made where all of the layers that the MR controls are made from are offset by 2 seconds in After Effects. I just tested it in PR 23.4 and it worked as expected.  You can offset the layers in AE and PR should respect the staggered start of each clip. Trimming clips will not work because AE only "sees" the beginning of the clip.  Time Remapping and Time-based effects do not work But offsetting layers that have the In Point at a different time than zero should work.  I'm looking at your Mogrt now and trying to figure out what the heck is going on.  Will be back with more info as soon as I get to the bottom of things, Dacia ... Unfortunately, the way that this works in Premiere is not the same as the way as it works in After Effects.  As you mentioned, in AE there is a comp that is created that we call the "Embedded Comp" in the Media Replacement folder.  But in Premiere Pro, this replaced media is added to a hidden nested sequence that is not listed or named in the Project Panel. The media is accessible to the user by double-clicking on the thumbnail for the Media Replacement control in the EGP. This nested sequence displays the same name as the Media Replacement control. There is no new name created for the replaced media like in AE.   There is still work to do in this area for sure. 😞  This seems to be the best breakdown of using sampleImage() that I've found in my quick search. This user is basing the values that he wants returned on Luminance (or lack of). Select File Explorer Options. Select the View tab of the File Explorer Options window. Thanks for this request @Aaron Cobb  Its something we have definitely heard in the past. There is an innate limitation for your example workflow  > A simple, concrete example is that I am building some MOGRT's for photo treatments, with a simple white frame that needs to match the aspect ratio of the photo the editor drops into it.    The Media Replacement Control is bound to the dimensions, duration, and frame rate of the image or video that the control was created with. So there is no way for the frame to match the aspect ratio of the new media even if you had access to it with expressions if you were also trying to use Media Replacement.  This is set in stone and was foundational to get the feature working to begin with so I don’t see it changing any time soon. But I’ve seen some interesting workarounds by creating a control that has the largest possible dimensions and using alpha / non-alpha information to drive the response of other elements in the design. Maybe that is a possible pathway? The concept is that the shape looks for the area in where there is no alpha so the white frame could be set up to "see" the boundary where the replaced image and the alpha of the MR Control (with larger dimensions) meet and frame the new new image via expressions. sampleImage() is what you can use to sample the alpha channel. Depending on your design you may get mileage out of it. Fair warning sampleImage() is performance intensive and will slow down your mogrt a fair bit.  But! Ok sounds like something is borked with your previews.  There are a couple of things that I would like you to try if you can.  The first is to close Premiere and then navigate to the folder that contains all of the cached thumbnails for the Mogrts in the Browser.  The file path on Win is: Users/<your user name >/AppData/Local/Temp/ProBrowser.  Delete that folder and then relaunch Premiere.  This will force Premiere to re-create the thumbnails and hopefully get you out of this state. If that doesn't work, then I would like you to close Premiere and navigate to another folder:  Win: /Users/username/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Common/Motion Graphics Templates   There are should be a couple of .txt files in that folder. Please delete those and then relaunch Premiere.  This will force Premiere to re-install the Mogrts that come bundled with Premiere which I'm hoping will get you out of this scenario.    Let me know how those things work out. 🙏🏽   Fingers crossed,  Dacia   ...
