Hello: I hope that this helps with some of your questions. 1. Although while I'm here, I'm not exactly sure how we got the Premiere Pro Project to render from AE. They probably did a right click on the clip in the timeline and selected "Replace with After Effects Composition." 2. I've been told, and seen, I think, that I need to go to the Edit Workspace in PPro. I'm not sure Why? (This is a standard workspace in Premiere) 3. Ideally, I'd see that masking as a traditional (photoshop) checkered background. Is that possible? You can go to the wrench (settings) in the program panel and select "Show Transparency Grid" to see the checkered background.
