The funny thing is that , if the browser (Edge in my case) is active, LR scrolls smooth, but extremly fast, actually unusably fast." Those are the things that are different to not enabling "scroll by row".

How is "scroll by row" supposed to enable smooth scrolling?? It actually is supposed to do the opposite, if enabled. The individual thumbnails - or the grid so to speak - stays in the eaxct same place. I had already contacted Logitech... To be honest, it´s not my job to solve that problem. I have informed Adobe several times since years, have contacted Logitech, maybe they should just talk to each other.

Then you need to try the Master MX. The problem is very obvious. With your mouse, do you get smooth scrolling at all without any "steps" in any application?

Rikk, have you enabled "smooth scrolling" (in german: Flüssige Bildläufe" ) in the Logitech driver? I have just tried it again and it´s very obvious that scrolling is very smooth, if my Edge browser is the active application, but my mouse cursor is over Lightroom. The scrolling is very smooth. If I make LR the active application, scrolling isn´t smooth anymore. Can´t someone upload a video some where? I have a Logitech Master MX 3s.

Ged, what you´re seeing in your system is probably coincidence. On my WIN 10 Pro system with 32GB RAM, PS always shows about 25 GB available RAM, no matter, how many processes and other programs are running. Even it the taskmanager shows only 16GB "available RAM", PS still shows the same 25GB. Besides that, PS always showed about 28GB instead of 25GB available RAM in older versions. So someone from Adobe has to explain that difference.

Thanks Ussnorway. That´s a pity and actually pretty strange, because nvidia and Adobe demonstrated it - and explicitly with the use of the special RT cores - , when the RTX 2000 series was introduced. And so many other 3D software makes already use of the RT cores.

So why is this approximation different from all previous PS versions? All previous versions detected nearly 30GB of 32GB that my system has. This version "detects" about 25GB.

Totally agree! And I would also like to see Dual Pixel Raw support, which allows focus shifting, portrait relighting and many more options. It would also be possible to extract a depth map from a Dual Pixel Raw.

Geforce cards do have 10bit/channel output (also for OpenGL) since at least a year or so. You don´t need a Quadro for that anymore. Even my old GTX 970 is able now to output 10bit/channel in Photoshop, which I can easily see and test. It´s night and day compared to 8 bit/channel. My new RTX 3060 can do it, as well.
But I support the request for 10bit/channel output for LR and ACR. Although the display dithering does a remarkable job.
What do you mean by "Photoshop support of the 10-bit workflow also did not improve significantly if at all." What should be improved?

Same here on my Win 10 PC. When sync is enabled, Photoshop uses all of my 32GB Ram for about 10 minutes and the releases it. This happens each and every time I launch PS, although my presets are only very few.
During those 10 min, only maybe 1 min PS uploads files. The rest of the time it still uses all of my RAM without doing anything.

I also get those artifacts from time to time, when I use ACR as a smartfilter. Unfortunately not always reproducable. I ́m on Win 10 1809 with a GTX 970.

I don´t have a solution for you, but just want to let you know, it´s the same on my system with the Logitech Master MX and my Edge browser (Win 10). As long as Edge is the active application I can scroll smoothly in LR.
