Ok, thats good. That indicates that the reason behind the earlier issue, iow that the render stops may be caused by some setting you have made in the export settings. There are two settings that causes issues and they are Render at Maximum Depth and Use Maximum Render Quality. The fix is to delete the Preferences. Close Premiere Pro, then hold down the Shift-key while launching Premiere Pro again. In the Reset options dialog, check the Reset app preferences and click Continue. This brings back Premiere Pro to the default settings.     ... View more

Make sure that the timeline you export from has the Mix set to Multichannel and 16 channels. It sound like you have a stereo mix today, hence only two channels in your export.     ... View more

You don´t need to share it with us, you need to playback that file while it still is on the Desktop and see if it works as expected or not. 🙂   Rendering to a cloud folder is often an issue, and in your case the file is being uploaded to Dropbox while you at the same time trying to play it back. Has it ever worked for long videos or is this a problem that just appeared? What version of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder do you use? Have you tried to reset the Preferences? (If no, do that.) Have you tried to reset the Media Cache? (If no, do that.) Does it work if you do a direct export from Premiere Pro? (If don´t know, try it.) Does it work with the settings below? Do not change anything, just use the presets.   Read the post by @Warren Heaton regarding 2 pass encoding and Max/Tagert bitrate. 🙂   EDIT: I totally forgot to ask you to reset the Preferences of Media Encoder as well. It was a long time ago i captured tapes, so i hope i get this right. But it do remember the Capture Device Offline...   When connecting the camera, make sure that Premiere Pro is closed. When you power up the camera, make sure to change from recording mode to playback mode. When the camera is on and ready to go, launch Premiere Pro. Your camera is capable of recording both DV and HDV. I assume that you have recorded HDV, so then you must create a HDV project in Premiere Pro to capture it. You cannot capture HDV in a DV project and vice versa.    Premiere Pro´s capture engine is problematic and many people including myself used a third party tool to capture tapes only to avoid the hassles in Premiere Pro. For HDV you can use HDVSplit 0.77 beta Free Download - VideoHelp and for DV you can use ScenalyzerLive. If you not yet have captured the DV tapes you cannot import them. You must capture the tape/s first.   If you have captured the tape/s and cannot import the files created when you captured, what error message do you get?   To capture the tape/s, you must connect the camera to the computers FireWire port, launch Premiere Pro and go to File > Capture or just hit F5 on the keyboard. O.k, thats problematic.   This happens very seldom to me but when it does i usually make the whole project offline. For a project were all assets are in one folder and subfolders one can just close Premiere Pro and then rename the top folder. Next time one launch the project Premiere Pro will throw the Link Media dialog and then it is easy to locate the first asset and often it will find the rest in one go. If assets lives in several folder, maybe on multiple disks it becomes more painful.   Another way is to use Ctrl+A to select all media in a timeline and then right click and choose Make Offline and click OK. While all media still is selected, right click again and choose Link Media.   It is very easy to select wrong file/s, so one must be calm and methodic. For example, if the Link Media dialog want you to find the file 20241001-211242.mov and you by mistake select 20241001-211224.mov you wont get a question saying "Are you sure?". One mistake is enough...   Make sure that File Name is checked under Match File Properties in the Link Media dialog and that all external disks are connected, if you have any. ... View more

I did a new test and if i name the first clip CLIP01_000002.jpg, the second clip CLIP02_000002.jpg, the third clip CLIP03_000002.jpg, etc, etc Premiere Pro will fail to import the files an a image sequence.    So, you need it to be named such as ClipName-0001.jpg, ClipName-0002.jpg, ClipName-0003.jpg, etc, etc. Naming them as 0001-ClipName.jpg, 0002-ClipName.jpg, etc, etc wont work. ... This is the image name im using CLIP01_000002.jpg   By @Daniel29221650c8h7   Yes, and i wrote that it will work if you rename it from CLIP01_000002.jpg to 0001.jpg, assumig that CLIP01_000002.jpg in the first image in the sequence. Adobe Bridge can batch rename those files.   I did i test here and renamed 40 jpg files from 20240610-154620.jpg to 0001.jpg and 0002.jpg, etc, etc and when i open the import dialog and select 0001.jpg and then check the Image Sequence box and click Open it imports as expected into Premiere Pro as an Image Sequence.   I use Premiere Pro 24.6.1 ... The naming of the files can be critical. Place them in a folder and rename them so the first file has the name 0001.jpg, the second 0002.jpg, etc, etc. Try that and make sure that Image Sequence is checked in the import dialog. ... View more

Thanks for chiming in.  So, it is indeed exporting.  It is not failing.  Just takes a LONG pause during exporting.   It does this BOTH during Media Encoder AND when exported directly from Premiere Pro.   Does the same thing happen if you export to ProRes LT? Does the same thing happen if you choose Hardware Encoding as well? (See attached image) What happens if you duplicate the timeline in the Project panel and then select all clips in the timeline, right click and choose Remove Attributes and remove all effects and then render out that timeline?   You will get an output with no video fx, but it can point out that the problem is due to some of the video filters, or not.   I am currently using those settings i posted about so that social media platforms compress minimal amounts as possible.  But can be prersuaded otherwise if there is a better way?   2 Pass encoding will not per se make social media platforms compress the uploaded media with minimal amounts. Just cuorious, who claims that?   I tried your method of CBR with target bit rate of 16.   It did NOT hang up at 50%.  Went straught through the export.   (Again let me clarify, when i experince the hang up, it stalls for hours but it DOES finish.)
