A few PGC errors have been reported in CS5 (and CS4), but a) they generally have a bit different syntax (they add info) and b) they are "real" errors - meaning they point to a specific problem, such as the blank space here.  The persistent PGC errors in CS3 never had solutions (or identified causes) but had a variety of workarounds.  As illustrated by this thread, there were actually differnt PGC variants - timelines, slideshows, and motion menus. ... But has Satish (the original frameserver coder) said that he will maintain the project, even if someone took over the heavy lifting? As far as I recall, he gave up on creating a 64-bit version of DMFS because of the lack of time, interest (his own--not ours!) and resources. My concern would be that, while we now have what appears to be a fully-functioning frameserver, if we do find a bug or want additional features, there is no one to address that without hiring a developer again. So who would be providing support for the frameserver? What is the incentive to the programmer who has been hired to fix bugs? See post 5.  That does not fully answer the question, other than Satish appears to be willing to add to the main project.  That implies a level of support, but I don't think Satish could answer that question until he sees the code.  I assume that he would not add it until it was a ready for release.  Probably a good time for someone to ask him. ... It's a standard export option. Couldn't resist; did a quick test in CS4.  The option appears as an "Expand Stills" button in DV AVI export.  The default, however, appears to be not to expand. I assume you still have a problem somewhere.  I am not certain, but I think the warning will disappear when the problem does.  If you are absolutely certain that you have no chapters off, I don't know what is at issue in a "trim" being adjusted. You can, of course, ignore the warning and see what you end up with.  In some cases, a chapter being moved slightly will not matter.  I would try tracking this down, and not just leave it, however. ... FLV is a supported filetype, but it is a container, and relies on codecs installed on your machine. Since CS4 is working, the flv codec in this file must be one of those that premiere is looking for a particular location for the codec. ilex, for a workaround, set the folder you are sending your premire stuff to for "arrange by" subject, but DO NOT group.  This is still inadequate, but I can skim through and have most topics make better sense.  Some do not sort by date, and the first post does not (no "re" in front of it).  If you can improve this, let me know. I agree - we need digests as a tool.  It is much faster to skim a half day digest (by forum), then it is to skim 200 separate emails that cannot be sorted adequately. As stated in other places, Jive should use current standards for tracking which email (i.e. topic/post) as person is responding to, and not turn the subject line into a unique identifier that defeats regular grouping by conversation/subject.  I do not, in hindsight, blame Adobe for not understanding how this would become a problem (we couldn't really test this effectively), but Jive lets Adobe down with this poor method. For those of you who weren't tracking this in the "forum on forums" about the changes ahead of time, the judgment call was made that the recent adobe forums were not sustainable.  The staff member who delivered the news had very good credibility among supporters and critics alike, and I saw no reason to argue his conclusion.  (That's John above who pu digests on the wish list.)  The problems in a previous forum change were huge problems that truly rendered the forums unusable.  I do not like several of the problems in the current forums, but I don't see anything that will result in a roll back to the previous version given the stakes as I understand them. I apologize for responding in the wrong thread, but I am finding that I simply cannot take the time to process the current structure of the forums. After deleting the almost 400 Premiere and  Encore emails from about 2 days (almost all unread), I found today that the structure of the emails changed so that the content of the message is first (shows up nicely in Outlook reading pane), the link to the item is still convenient, and much of the unnecessary stuff is gone.  A step in the right direction. I'm sure the subject line is a bigger problem to fix, since it is being used to track, but I have still not found a way to avoid lots of separate groups.  I just found (should have thought of it before), that if I don't group them at all, just list the messages and then sort by subject, I get a passable list.  However, the unique code per item is not always in the correct (time) order. ... I agree with the need to make email subjects user friendly.  I was happy in the old system with digests as a way to determine what I had reviewed, and I think I cou ld be happy with email.  However, the subject line prevents grouping the posts by thread. The 2 or 3 attempts I have made to post via email reply have bounced with a 553 error from a jive server.  It makes me wonder if there is more wrong with their email interface. During the pre and trial phase, I looked at Jive a bit; I wonder if they are so focused on the facilitating community interaction (i.e. a corporate communication environment) that they do not understand the real life problems of more disconnected users trying to interface via the email options?  Or is there new code to the Adobe options that needs troubleshooting? ...
