@OPH-Video,   What specific Beta build? What OS?   I am Win 11 Beta 26.0.0 Build 30. A transcription of a French sample shows regular characters for me.   I transcribed by right-clicking in the Project Panel and picked French as the language. Do you have autodetect language set in preferences by any chance?   Unrelated to your issue, I just noted that, when viewed in the Transcript tab, it appears to be transcribing and gives an estimated time. In the Progress panel, however, it shows that it is actually on the step of downloading the language pack. When complete, it shows "transcoding on device" and resets the percent.    Stan   ... Here's the staff response Neil refers to. https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/25-6-must-convert-projects-from-25-5-versions/m-p/15587707#M574270   I still don't have the option for 25.6, but in the Beta 25.6, when you enabled masking, the project FILE type increased (to 44), and your old projects needed to be converted, and your new/converted projects could no longer be opened in the release version.   I wonder if that is holding true here. @Srfaye327,   There's probably a post somewhere about the process. For some time now (years?), the practice is to roll out the update over time. I've been a user who gets the update quickly, and other times not for several days. It drives me a little nuts.   Also, the Welcome to Premiere Pro xxx is always delayed by some amount. Today, a search on the forum for "welcome to " finds lots of welcome to pages, but the latest is 25.5. I can think of many reasons this might be so, but it makes is hard to get an answer to your question.   I still believe the best practice is not to update until the "Welcome to" announcement comes out. And if you have a particular bug that is important to be fixed, ask in a thread for it and find out if somewhere has tested it. As a forum helper, I try to update quickly and test the bugs I am following to help users like yourself.   The masking is interesting. Projects with masking enabled are a new project version. If masking is not enabled, I wonder if it will be the older project version. That's what happened in the Beta.   And finally, as to your crashing, when I update, I reset preferences, cache, and plugin loading cache, and then create a new project to test basic functioning.   Stan   ... @David23704957xm2j,   Win 11 PR 25.5.0. Working as expected for me. Screenshots might help if my comments below are not helpful.   I suspect you have one of 2 situations. The first is a static/sequence transcript. The extract/lift buttons in the transcript tab are greyed out, and the ' key simply moves the playhead to the in marker. If you use the extract button in the Program Monitor itself (or the ' key with the timeline/Program Monitor in focus), the extract occurs, but does not delete anything from the transcript (as expected).   The other is a current bug in 25.5.0 (fixed in Beta) where a duplicated sequence (or perhaps some other cause) does not update the transcript and gets out of sync. mark@headTrix,   I think you are in the Beta, working with the Frame.io V4 (Beta). Click on the dropdown arrow by "Mark's Account" and try that logout. Since the Frame.io login is handled by a web page (that you have to switch to when logging in via PR), I suspect you have to logout via Frame.io. I think it requires you to log in each day, so you'll be logged out tomorrow anyway.   Note in that screen that it will show the version of Frame.io V4 that is running. @good_reliability5033,   I'm Win 11 testing in PR 25.5.0. The dotted line appears for speed keyframes (and only speed keyframes?) and whether they are set in the timeline or the Effect Controls panel. And as soon as there is an adjustment, the dotted line is gone. And other than undo, I can't adjust the keyframes back to get the dotted line.    The keyframes are created with a 1 frame difference. If I fully zoom in, I see no difference between the initial keyframes (that have the dotted line) and keyframes moved back to one frame apart after they hav been moved (that do not have the dotted line).   @Ann Bens, You're the master of icons and operations: any idea how the students are not seeing this?   Stan   ... @hpanioniv,   It's a catch-22: you must have the style in the project for it to show in the caption creation drop-down. But you can't get the style into the project without getting access to the style browser (requires having text to apply it to) or importing the style.   I think, for the first time you use a style in a project, it's just as easy to create the captions, then use a "local style" (available in the style browser once you have text) to apply it to the caption track.   Stan   ...
