@nguyenkt08,   Thanks for mentioning "upgrade caption to graphic." It helps to directly show the difference. But you get the same issue whether you are converting, or just typing subtitles vs graphics text. This seems very odd, and I do not know why they do it this way.   I don't see the exact relative difference in your screen shots. You show subtitle 40, graphics text 80. If I set a subtitle to 40, I get graphics text at 27. I wonder if this difference varies by font.   What I see is that the actual SIZE number in the properties of text in the caption track appears to be 150% the size number of regular graphics text when using "upgrade caption to graphic." It shows a different size number in the properties, but the actual size on screen is the same.   My quick demonstration method: duplicate a caption by alt+dragging it to the end of the caption track. Upgrade the original to graphic, and place it underneath the duplicate. You can see that they are exact matches. But they show different properties numbers. Divide the caption number by the graphics number = 1.5.   I found one other post about this, where I tested and first saw differences and then didn't. PR 25.4.0 introduced a new default subtitle and font preference: Edit -> Preferences -> Graphics -> Default Subtitle and Text Font. But that is all it says in helpx: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/premiere-pro/using/preferences.html   "Set your preferred default fonts for text and subtitles."   I just tested in 25.4.1 on Win 11. I left the preference default of Lucida Console. I get that font if I create a caption track with no style included. And if I use the text tool, it appears "Sticky," type one text entry and set a font, that is the font that comes up the next time. That continues as long as PR is open even if I change projects. But if I close PR and reopen, a new text instance has a font of Minion Pro, not Lucida  Console.   I also tested in Beta 25.6.0.39. There it behaves correctly. I used the sequence Instagram reel vertical 9:16 and the style Bold captions white background in 25.4.1 on Win 11. I do not have cera pro, and used Source Sans Pro Bold as similar. I exported .mp4 with captions burned in.   I don't see anything cut off or missing. My notes didn't help as much as I hoped. It depends on your particular issue.   The transform source effect should work, and the canvas being off doesn't matter so much. The exception is when your workflow/style requires seeing the image in the Source Monitor correctly.   My approach involves figuring out what the issue is and using exiftool to change the rotation flag as required. Most of my samples are from iPhones. It happens with regular cameras, particularly if you do not set the rotation flag required for that camera. And my only .mp4  example was an android where I was holding the camera vertically (accidentally) when I pressed record, then turned it horizontally for the rest of the take.    In any event, give me more information about the camera used, pixel size, and how PR is seeing it. Because we have EDITED a current speaker name, it changes every instance of Speaker 1 to Thomas.   Click on the speaker name for any transcript segment (all now Thomas), pick "Edit speaker name," pick "Add speaker" - it shows Speaker 2 by default - and change that to "Joseph." There is no change to any segment speaker names. But now, when you click on any of the speaker names, you see a choice of Joseph, Thomas, and Edit speaker name.   If you click a segment and "split" at that point, it creates two segments, both with Thomas as the speaker. Make sure you haven't applied any scaling until you know you have what you want.   but as some other users, you'd like your footage to be correct upon import to PR. @Jeena22389650a1ho,   When you mute Audio track 1, PR no longer sees its transcription.   I suspect that you transcribed some clip (that is not on Audio 1) and did not separate speakers there.   In any event, unmute Audio 1 and see if you see the transcript you expect. If you do, the question is how to keep the transcript but not the volume. Muting it or turning the gain down results in "No dialogue." Moving it below other audio tracks blocks it, and you would only see the transcript where nothing "covers" it. Try picking "solo" on all the tracks you want to hear. Its autosaves go to the autosave folder inside that main, project folder. I created a new project in a different folder on the same drive, and made a change in each open project. @wlv_4711,   I do not believe there is a limit, but I have no idea why sometimes the complete caption track does not translate. Here's my response to a user with this issue just 2 days ago. https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/traduction-partielle-des-sous-titres/idc-p/15472739#M54634   She found a workaround. The forum translation of her response: "I cut the video where the subtitle translation stopped. I put this piece of video in another sequence, I transcribed, asked for the subtitles and then the translation and then miraculously, the second part was finally subtitled."   I don't think it needed to be re-transcribed if the transcription was of the source file. Just create the new sequence from the same video file with the in point at the place the translation stopped. Create captions and try the translation on that part.   I am conducted a few experiments, which are not great because my one hour test worked just fine. My test sequence is from a single clip that is just under one hour long. It happens to have 3 languages, but I am transcribing only the English channel 1. I create captions using the default Subtitle settings. I translate using the default settings to French. The source is "English (Auto-detected)."    The steps I see (via screenrecording) are Preparing captions (10%), Uploading captions (30%), Translating (50% for the entire time), Downloading Translation (70%), and Processing Translation (90%). The entire caption track was translated. I placed a clip and sequence marker at an arbitrary location to test translation of part of the sequence - at 32:00:00.   Each of these also worked to create the "missing" captions.   I created a new sequence with the correct settings (HD 25fps). I opened the original clip in the source monitor, changed the in point to the marker, and added that clip to the new sequence. Since the source transcription was already done, I created captions, then translated them to French. The progress was very fast, so I'm suspecting it used the already created captions.   I made a static transcript of the sequence, deleted the previous 2 caption tracks, created English captions, and translated those to French.    Stan   ... The "bug" - I had the same feeling - is that there is no fit/fill option to function that way when putting a horizontal into a vertical timeline. Hi all,   I feel like I've (perhaps we all have) gone nuts!   Set preferences for scaling to none. @oteets, I think this is what you must have had this set to before, and when you somehow got it set to scale, that messed you up.   Import your horizontal 4K. Add to the timeline. Guess what? With no fit/fill action, It is centered vertically and horizontally and "fills" your vertical 1080x1920 frame: the 4K 2160 fills the vertical HD 1920. The excess 240 vertical pixels spill out the top and bottom, and the excess 2,760 spills outside the frame left and right. @Takeone.Digital,   I don't think there is a way natively from PR. You can open a clip in the Source Monitor and then File -> Export -> Markers for that clip, but the timecodes are for the clip, not the sequence. I'm assuming you want sequence timecode. I see the Ann and Ali posts that appeared after I posted. I agree that the best option is fill for a vertical sequence receiving a horizontal clip (either from the button or a shortcut added for the fill frame action). This option is not available as a preference; the only 2 are scale to frame size or fit.    For the preference setting, the helpx file still says "scales imported assets to the project’s default frame size," but there isn't one anymore, right? In any event, when IMPORTED, the clip gets flagged with the setting, and takes on the scale of a sequence it is placed in AND with a scale of 100%. But, as Ali says, when you use one of the other settings, it overrides it so you can scale without losing quality. But generally, I believe the best option is None.   Stan   ... View more
