  • Issue - when i import  .MOV(iphone's video format file) (by drop and drag method) , then my premiere pro suddenly closed. AND when i want to import from premiere pro software by selecting MEDIA from media browser then in media browser (Local Drives) that .mov extension files not shown to be import in premiere pro.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro version number: Premiere Pro (25.0)
  • Operating system - Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
  • System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD:
    • CPU :- Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-6500U @2.50Ghz

    • GPU driver :- Intel (R) HD Graphics 520
    • RAM :- 16384 MB (16GB)

    • Hard Drive :- 1TB SSD

  • Video format: .MOV (video made in iphone 13 pro)
  • Workflow details: i used it general
  • Steps to reproduce - I open my premiere pro then i select new project then i select create ( by default settings) then when i want to select my media from my local device (i.e F:/ (where i stored my all video files of my iphones (.MOV extension))) , there i did not see that files (that is off .mov file extension) , AFTER THIS step i CLICKED on skip button , then my editing workspace pops up and i was able to use , AFTER THAT when i dragged that files (with .MOV by using drag and drop option with the help of mouse , then i select that file from F:/ drive and i select that file , drag and now i am able to drop that file in TIMELINE( where it is written Drop media here to create a sequence) OF PREMIERE PRO 25.0 but, NOW AS I DROPPED THAT FILE  , then IMPORT FILES POP UP APPEARS for 1 sec and after that my premiere pro closes)
  • Expected result - My .MOV files should be import into that ( premiere pro , timeline) and after that i could do my work with that files as my project in premiere pro.
  • Actual result -  My premiere pro crashes when i import my video files with .MOV file extension and i  was not able to edit my video in my timeline.

Hi @RiteshSharma,

It looks like those clips have zero duration and are 1 MB in file size. Can you try importing a standard file? Use File > Import. Let us know what happens.

Thanks,
Kevin

@RiteshSharma,

The file you demonstrated in the screen recording had zero duration showing in Windows explorer. But I understand that this is happening with other files.

I agree with Kevin's suggestion, as a test, to use File - Import and pick a different file type.

I am also Win10, and I have no problem in PR 25.0.0 dragging a .mov/iphone video from Windows explorer to the timeline area to create a sequence. And i can drag it from explorer to the Project Panel.

Probably unrelated, but when you tried Media Browser, you can see only a single .dng file. See my post here about this oddity:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/video-files-not-read-if-there-is-a-dng-file-...

Just change the Directory Viewer to File Directory, and you'll be able to import from there. It may not make any difference to your main problem.

@RiteshSharma,

If you can post a link (dropbox, e.g.) to one of the problem files that is 25-50MB, I can give it a try.
