After getting the helpful suggestion on this thread, I tried to create an action to change screen mode, from "standard" to "full screen with menu bar." But when I record the action, going to View menu and changing screen mode, nothing gets recorded. (I have recorded actions without problems before). Can screen mode not be recorded for an action?

Actually, I'm having trouble with the action to change screen mode. I record the action (with an open file in "standard screen mode") to change to full screen mode with menu. But it doesn't stick--nothing shows up under the action like it normally does. I tried recording both methods Ahmed described--the one from the top menu, and also bottom of toolbar. I also created an action to add my name to the "author" metadata field, to get around the scripting bug, and that's working, and I see how to add the actions to run upon

Using PS CC 19.0 on MacOS 10.13.2. Every time I open a file in PS, I hit the f key for full screen mode (I think that's what it's called?). I can't find in preferences where to set this by default, so when I open an image it's centered on the canvas.

Alexandre: what worked for me is restarting and then hitting "reset to saved layout." This issue came up again with a different workspace, but that fix seems to be working for me.

Restarted computer, problem persisted, but tried once again to "reset to saved layout," and this time, after a bit of spinning beach ball, the effects workspace came back. Thanks for the responses.

With Premiere 12.0 I'm getting an issue where all workspaces are fine, except when I go to Effects workspace, it's totally blank (see screenshot). I've tried hitting "reset to saved layout" to no avail. This is happening with existing projects and new projects. I'm newish to Premiere, so not sure if user error or bug.

I'm about to color grade a video project, and going to update my color calibration with Sypder 4 puck and Spyder calibration software on a Mac. In the past I've mainly been concerned with still photography/print color, but want to calibrate for color grading with Premiere now. The video will mainly be seen on Youtube, not on TV or projected. Currently I have 2.2 gamma/6500k set with calibration software. Does that sound like the best setting? Would there be a better gamma setting?

I'm new to Premiere, but so far haven't had trouble doing color grading and adding effects to clips. Starting today though, I have a problem: program monitor doesn't show color adjustment changes. When I adjust exposure slider for example, I see the sequence thumbnail getting lighter and darker, but not the program view. I'm not using adjustment layers. I can easily reproduce this, creating a new project, importing a clip, creating new sequence from clip, and adjust color. Same with adding effects. I'm on a Macbook Pro in clamshell mode, using external display connected with HDMI; not using multiple monitors via preferences: playback (no video device checked there). 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 1tb SSD 16gb ram MacOS 10.12.5 Premiere 2017.1.2 Screenshots show exposure change, visible in sequence thumbnail (bottom left), but not program (main window).

Most or all of the files in question are from 2013; they are no longer on the original drive, which may have had issues, can't remember for sure. But I've run disk utilities on the drive where they currently reside and it appears to be healthy.

dj_paige The error message most likely indicates that there is no support for the camera that produced this RAW in your open version of Lightroom. So what version NUMBER of LR do you have opened there? Please give us the version NUMBER (go to Help->System Info) and do not use words like "up to date". Thanks for response, but the corrupt files were shot with a 5DM3, and I have zillions of raw photos shot with that camera that have been working fine with LR for years. LR version: LR: 2015.10.1 RAW: 9.10.1

I'm a bit confused about how to incorporate master audio track with multicam sequence. I'm working with a music video with many takes shot with musicians lip-syncing to audio track. So I only want to use the master audio, and sync everything to that--don't want to use any camera audio (except for sync). Should I include the audio file when creating the multicam source sequence? Or only sync cameras, and then add audio track to timeline? I've been including the audio file when creating multicam sequence, but then am having trouble muting all cameras/soloing audio track--maybe that's what I need help with...

I found threads here about corrupt raw files, but haven't found any solutions to repairing corrupt files on a healthy hard drive. Are there none? Any software that can repair corrupt .dng files? I know about practices like formatting sd card in camera before shooting, backing up, running utilities on hard drives to make sure they're healthy, updating to latest versions of Adobe Raw and LR, etc. I always convert to dng when importing into LR. The corrupt files in question were shot by 5DMIII, and are the correct file size (24mb or so), and previews in LR work normally. Not looking for recs for media recovery (cards/drives); wondering if there are raw file repair solutions.

Yes, I've seen that; that's exactly what I'm doing, but with a different plugin. With 360VR Toolbox I'm able to clone the tripod out, but not bake in the cloning when returning to equi view.

So, you are clone stamping the object out and then rendering the length of the video to "lock it down"? Right? What kind of reorienting are you doing? Rotating? Right. I'm using the 360VR Toolbox plugin (reorient sphere specifically) to reorient an equirectangular spherical panorama, to access the nadir. At 1:05 in this video, what I'm doing is shown: 360VR Toolbox Public Beta Launch Video - YouTube In any case, if you are stamping it, locking it down, and adjusting it resulting in it slipping, that tells me there is either movement in the video or the process is creating a movement that is impacting that clone stamp. The clone work isn't slipping; it's staying where it is, instead of moving back down to the bottom of the frame with the image, when I change the effect back to equi orientation.

Thanks Kirkeric: It is a video clip, but camera locked down...copying a section of grass would work, but the problem I'm having is to get a clear view of tripod I have to reorient equirectangular view--which is no problem--but after erasing tripod, I'm having trouble baking that work in, so when I go back to equi view the retouching is in the wrong place. Again, I'm super new to AE, probably doing something dumb. I've tried rendering and pre-composing.
