From Adobe (community forums): "Currently, the community on community.adobe.com is used as a destination for customers to ask questions and engage in peer-to-peer conversations. IOW, this is a user-to-user support forum. The Adobe Support Community is a place to ask questions, find answers, learn from experts, and share your knowledge. Because we are a community used by people of all ages, cultures, and people at work, we carefully moderate its content". If you have problems or need answers from other users who volunteer their time to help, do so in a discussion topic and message body, whereby you post specifics (what's the problem or issue, or the question) and provide some information about your operating system, version of the software you're asking about and steps to illustrate your problem. https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/p-fine-tune-the-subject-line-of-your-adobe-community-forum-post-for-better-results/td-p/13476026 If you want Adobe to be viewing what you post, there are two ways based on what you are hoping to report: If you wish to report what you believe is a bug, you do so by following these guidelines: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/how-do-i-write-a-bug-report/idi-p/12373403 If you wish to provide a feature request, you do so by following these guidelines (then make a request in the product forum): https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-ideas/how-do-i-write-a-feature-request/idi-p/12386378

I will always claim that any of the "experienced" commenters here that see "no bugs" (you are not alone) must just be using 5 sliders and 5 commands — literally. By @Zesty_wanderlust15A7 I missed the part where an "experienced" commenter said there were "no bugs". Can you tell us exactly who that "experienced" commenter was and where to find such a post? Oh I know you can hide/show it @TheDigitalDog It is just that the implementation of it makes no sense at all! By @marcrust I accept your confusion about how this works. Or the new feature you posted for D Fosse: I think some people enjoy complaining almost as much as they enjoy doing nothing about it.

Remember that what you experience might not be the same perception of my experience even on the same subject. As I previously you might think that an AI interpolation, sharpening or in this case noise reduction does an absolute wonderful job and I might think it's the opposite. By @mastix In the time wasted here, you could have tried the new feature on your own images and started to form an educated opinion. You asked a question and got several answers based on actual user experience. Rant over. By @mastix Is it? Was it ever based on user experience? Nope. Thank you for confirming a strong opinion on a topic you’ve clearly illustrated you haven't tried.

I'll give you an example: There is a new version of Photoshop (version 24.5) that has these context sensitive menus that pop up on your document when you use certain tools like the type tool. I don't think this is something we needed, it shows the same information that is in the common pannels we are all familiar with. By @marcrust IF you're referring to the tool flyouts with optional videos, this is easy to disable. And there are no less than two options for controlling this and tooltips in preferences. If users would spend as much time learning to use the product as writing complaints, we'd all save a lot of time.

As far as I can tell Adobe considers the problem 'mythical' (their word, not mine). By @kuxtv88fbzxliycwhrh Not Adobe's words. You're quoting a Community Expert (not Adobe Staff) who expressed a personal opinion in another discussion. The Creative Cloud software verifies the account status on Adobe servers once a day. If the account is in good standing (that is, payment is up-to-date) when the last verification happens, the software status refreshes to run for at least 99 days offline with an annual subscription. Month to month, much less! See: https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/creative-cloud/kb/internet-connection-creative-cloud-apps.html https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/manage-apps-services-desktop.html

The DNG is partially processed (Linear DNG), which has to occur for this Denoise to work: https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2023/04/18/denoise-demystified From that DNG, which is more 'raw' than a JPEG, you can then save out a JPEG with of course, more data loss than before doing so. FWIW, it isn't high ISO that causes noise—the relative amount of noise changes with exposure. Underexposure leads to more noise, not ISO (in fact, a lower ISO can have less noise than a higher ISO again, depending on exposure).

If you've purchased actions (.atn) documents that don't work, you'll have to contact whoever created them. It is possible they no longer work after an update to Photoshop that changed since they were built.

Yes I know where they live but it's gone. Is there any way to change workflow so they live in the catalog? That way they would never be separated By @SRPcashie If you move to a DNG workflow, the profiles (and edits and more) get embedded into that container. Otherwise you'll have to find the DCP profiles from a backup and install them in the location Ian talks about.

Try logging into another Mac user account (you should make a new one); still crashing? Try starting up in Safe mode (hold down Shift Key when booting*), still crashing? You might want to try running a free utility like Onyx: still crashing? https://www.titanium-software.fr/en/onyx.html Also view: https://www.macworld.com/article/352902/onyx-review-macos.html https://www.macworld.com/article/224955/how-to-reset-a-macs-nvram-pram-and-smc.html From Adobe: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-troubleshooting.html * How to start your M1/M2 Mac in Safe Mode On your Mac, choose Apple menu () > Shut Down. After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds. Press and hold the power button until the startup disks and Options appear. Press and hold the Shift key, then click Continue in Safe Mode. Try fixing permissions by running Disk Utility (Disk First Aid) or, again, using Onyx. Also see: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-unexpected-behavior-user-account.html

HiThanks for the information. It didn’t work resetting camera raw preferences but it does work with a new user account on Mac.ThanksSent from my iPhone By @matthew30381927atv8 So here's the tricky part. Since it doesn't crash as a new user, a conflict with something in the original (Admin?) user is making it crash. The hard part is figuring out what that is. The first task is to disable all auto log-in items in Users and Groups>Login Items in your System preferences (System Settings in Ventura). You can make a screen capture or jot down what each item is, disable, restart, and try again. If it doesn't crash, you can add one or more items, restart and try again. At some point, you may find which item is at issue. It isn't easy, but that's really the fix unless you do a clean install of the OS, which might be more work. The bottom line is that something in your user account is conflicting with the Adobe software. Have to find out what that item is.

One possible clue (if this rings a bell) is that we checked the print preview box in setup, and when it showed up, the color had a strong pink cast. Forget and ignore the Print dialog in Photoshop; its previews have been broken for years. You can soft proof outside it with good profiles (display and printer), but in the Print dialog, forget about it.

Lets start with an Adobe Camera Raw reset: Hold down the Command key and select Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw (macOS*) or hold down the Ctrl key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows). Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Camera Raw Preferences?" See also: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/using/camera-raw-settings.html *On Ventura, it is now called "Settings". If that doesn't work, does it work if you try this in a new (Mac) user after you create one?
