there are dozend of reasons why people need offline installer. and you people at adobe know that very well. 😞 i can post hundreds of these qoutes from prodesign to discussions on photoshop forums but i will only post a random four. it´s time for adone to listen to it´s customers and not ignore them. I have the same problem – we have an enterprise account, and I always have issues with updating CC. My colleagues are running OSX Mavericks, I’m on Yosemite – they don’t appear to have any problems updating (neither does my PC), but I have been forced to clean and reinstall CC so many times that I’m now running the old direct download versions for everything. The only update that has worked recently is InDesign. Every time I try to update Photoshop and Illustrator I get error 123 messages and 0% downloads. After the DPS farce, this is really putting me off Adobe – and I’ve used their products for 25 years. I have CS5.5 at home on my MacBook Pro (installed from the DVD) and I’ve NEVER had to uninstall/reinstall/clean it… The current cloud-based delivery system simply isn’t reliable. I’ve lost days of work time though attempting to find a solution for this. It’s not good enough. It’s a very wrong decision, especially in India where connectivity is not that strong in Rural areas. This was standard practice for me to download upgrades from High-speed internet and then install them on my work PC. Very wrong … I am a creative cloud user for last 4 years and direct links are of utmost important to me. I do not understand Adobe’s decision to frustrate its loyal customers. I am a customer of the full CC suite; I have been checking here again and again over the past month, and the direct download links are still not made available! Not every one has a high-speed internet connection, or want to connect one’s main work machine to the internet. If Adobe estimates they’re getting back more or gaining new customers by preventing piracy than losing existing ones being unable to install/update, it’s your bad I’m afraid to say. We have not updated any CC apps yet in our company because we need the offline installers. We also need the small UPDATES to be available OFFLINE. It is very unsatisfactory how Adobe handles this. well adobe seems to be the only company who needs 2+ month to make offline installer available. suddenly creating offline installers has become extremey difficult... yeah. it seems gathering data via their cloud software is more important for adobe than providing offline installers. there is an offline installer for photoshop (that has some issues like selecting the language) and one for lightroom. why adobe kind of hides them on their website... well you shall be forced to use the cloud stuff. but for the other CC apps... there are no offline installer. ... this all would be much easier when the adobe clowns would let you choose the language when you install an application. you know like a dropdown box that every multilanguage SHAREWARE app has. why not let us decide to install more than one language? how big are the language files 10MB? adobe software is so bloated what difference make a few MB more? this whole language stuff is a mess since the start and adobe is unable to make this easy. what if you work with your spouse on the same system and one want´s the apps in english and the other in their native language? is it possible that some people at adobe may come to their senses and actually do something that HELPS their customers? ... i have the same problem with LR CC. and i don´t expect that adobe will ever fix these issues. they can add VIDEO SUPPORT to their feature list that is all they care about. if it actually works.. who cares .. sure nobody at adobe. since adobe as "support" for videos i have issues with it. common formats won´t be recognized. can someone who REALLY has a clue (no guessing please) sum it up? there are people on the net who claim they have 10 bit working with a GTX 970 + NEC PA272 + WINDOWS 10 and photoshop CC. they say a greyscale gradient look smoother when they enable 10 bit in the nvidia driver. here some people say windows 8, 8.1 and 10 can´t display 10 bit at all. now afaik the latest nvidia drivers may have a setting for 10bit but imho that is only for directX (and only in fullscreen mode). afaik the only way to get 10bit support in photoshop (or openGL apps in general) is still with an AMD FIREGL or NVIDIA QUATRO card. it is very hard to find facts under all the guesswork on the net. now sometimes it is said adobe engineers are visiting this forum.... they should know right?  so can someone from adobe, who has the technical knowledge, answer this question? this thread has over 69000 views!!. i would say this topic is worthy an FAQ that is kept up to date (when new drivers or cards are released). ... what if the third is a big TV that makes no sense to be calibrated and profiled? what if one has a TN panel that makes profiling pretty useless? i have a friend who uses a 3 monitor setup. one eizo is connected to his nvidia card, another eizo is connected to his internal intel HD graphics. and then he has a 50 inch sony TV that is also connected to the nvidia card (via hdmi). he can not connect the sony to the internal HD graphics (for many reasons). yet lightroom always want to put the second monitor on the sony TV. here are so many more reasons why your approach is no help for most people with a multi monitor setup. bob frost schrieb: Just curious as to why you don't color calibrate all your monitors? well see it that way.... that it worked for you does not not mean it has to be the cause of the problem. it did not work for me, that´s a fact. so obviously saying this will solve the problem is wrong. people can install v2.4 without errors, without having v2.3 installed. that is another fact. i know for sure because i asked many friends if it worked for them. The problem is an error by auto installer of the new update for PS CC 2015. Always ends by error. i don´t know where you heard that this will always create problems, but it is not true. installing v2.4 only creates problems on some systems, not all systems. and in my case installing v2.3 first did not solve the problem. By installing previous version You copying files which are not present in Your system, then Installation of new Assets wchich are included in the automatic installer gives You all that PS wants to proper work no unfortunately installing the the previous version did not help at all, as i wrote already. ...
