Great feedback @Lumigraphics !
Can you say more about what you mean by "traditional font list" in your first bullet?
"Watch the menu drawing. On the Mac, the style menu in the Options bar draws over the system menu bar."
Do you have a screenshot of this happening? I wasn't able to reproduce this.
Many of your other comments are great as well and I won't respond to all of them here, but we're looking at them as a team, and appreciate your write up. We have some more updates and polish coming in the next few months, so stay tuned. Would love to hear more of your feedback as some of those changes are released.
Regards,
Pete

Hi @ZerinaAkula and @hietommy ,
Thanks for the feedback on the Font browser! This is something that we're looking at improving by adding the ability to collapse/expand the classes/tags filters on the left.
One question, when collapsed/hidden, would you expect the font browser to have a smaller width?
I can almost assume that from @hietommy 's request for a "more compact" version, and @ZerinaAkula suggesting it's taking too much space. Just looking to confirm this is what you're after.

Pete

If you hold shift, or unlock the ratio scaling of the smart object by clicking the chain link in the tool options, while transforming, its boundaries will snap to the current guides you've set up.

Hi @johnr26363143 ,
We've been having trouble reproducing this on similar hardware and wonder about your dual display setup.
Does this jumping of the text list happen on both monitors? or one or the other?

Pete

Updating the thread status to Acknowledged. Have been able to reproduce this. Thanks @shaunaparmesan !
Also, sorry we missed your post in the beta community Shauna, but thanks for posting there and now here. I think since your post was on another bug thread it may have been overlooked as something totally different and valid. Feel free to create a new bug thread next time you spot something like this in beta!
Cheers

Thanks for the report on this Ghoul -- it's definitely interesting and has workarounds (add any other character to the layer name), however there are likely very few workflows that this affects. I don't suspect there will be a fix for this any time soon but we'll keep an eye on it.
Cheers

Thanks for the report all -- I've been able to reproduce this and see that this was not the case in 24.7.4 and broke somewhere along the way.
Apologies for the trouble with this one. The team will work on fixing this.

Thanks for your feedback on this one. I hear you loud and clear and will work with the team to see about moving Show transform controls back out from the gear menu. Stay tuned.

Hi everyone,
Wanting to clear up some confusion around this topic.
Portions of this feature made it into the 25.7 release, and have been removed in the 25.9 release.
The Bullets and numbering feature is now available in the latest Photoshop beta release, and is being discussed in this thread created by Cory.
For those of you who want to test this out and provide feedback on it, please do so in the above linked thread in the Photoshop beta forums.
In the beta, you have the ability to enable/disable bullets and numbers in Preferences, and modify its behavior via the Properties panel.
Regards,
Pete

Hi all,
I was part of the team that worked on moving show transform controls to the gear menu, and it's nice to hear this feedback that you'd like it moved back out of the new gear controls that now house many of the Hover layer bounds controls.
Generally, the gear menu is used for various tools to provide additional options for the selected tool.
I realize this is a bit of a case of "who moved my cheese?" and am sorry that this change has proven frustrating for some of you. The intention was to move many of the Move tool configuration options into one place.
One question I have around this is, would adding ability to customize a keyboard shortcut for Show transform controls satiate this desire? Or do you prefer it being available directly on the tool options bar?

Pete

Thanks @Jac_Irwin ,
The previous dropdown was also a font browser, for your local fonts, this one adds the ability to browse the Adobe Fonts library. The latter part it sounds like you don't need, assuming I understand you correctly.
Without purely reverting to the previous dropdown, curious how we could make improvements to this updated interface for you that would make it more on-par/performant with the previous font dropdown/browser experience?

Pete

You're definitely correct @MissLiz, We tend to do a phased roll out for our releases for exactly this purpose and not everybody gets it right away. This helps us find out if there are any issues we weren't aware of, and really appreciate your report.
Check Adam's message below and try the latest beta as well when you can to see if it's still happening on your system with that beta and let us know!
Thank you!

Hi @MissLiz ,
Sorry about Photoshop shutting down with this error and really appreciate you reporting this to the forums to us. Curious if there are some remnants in the Preferences that might be causing this with the new install.
Can you try resetting your Photoshop preferences?
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.
Let us know how it goes.

Pete

Hi @Jac_Irwin and @Cornela ,
Thanks for your feedback. I wonder what in particular is problematic for you and how we can make this font browser experience better for you?
In general, if you don't want to browse the additional fonts, you can stay within the "your fonts" section of the font browser.
Are there other things that are getting in your way?

Pete

Hi @Jen27654846oo5f ,
Are you using the beta or the release Photoshop?
With beta, you can also use Reference Image to point to the type of hat you're after as well.
If either one, you can also use the thumbs up and down to report generations as positive or negative in quality or in result. That's great feedback for the team as they work to improve these generative models.

Pete

@Afactory Do you have the DxO Nik plugin suite installed? Try disabling that and see if Photoshop opens successfully.
You can also start Photoshop holding the Shift key to disable plugins.

@Lizbeth del C36938289ik3c --- I think I've figured it out -- Are you using Faux Bold?
Try turning Faux Bold off as depending on the quality of the font, it can produce results like you're seeing. You can turn it off by clicking the button in the Character panel. Here's a screenshot with it turned on, click it again to turn it off.

Another thing to try aside from Preferences, is to reset the font cache for Photoshop and/or your system font cache.

I've tried on my system and not able to see these text deformities as you're seeing with larger point sizes:

Hi @HarryBonyari ,
Sorry about the freeze behavior.
Have been trying to reproduce this on my Windows 10 system with 25.7, and so far have been unsuccessful.
Can you help provide some additional steps to reproduce this one?
Do you have more info on the type and size of the file you're working on?
Does this happen with all files? or any in particular?
Regards,
PG

@Trevor.Dennis , that's an interesting screenshot -- I haven't been able to reproduce this one. You should be getting Length, Width, and Concavity control.
Questions:
Does scrolling down in the panel give you the Length & concavity control?
Does a preference reset fix this for you?
Is this on Windows or Mac?
