Thank you SO MUCH, Nesa! Yes, it works perfectly! I had already texted out the calculation (in layperson terms) 😉 and sent it to corporate to get their approval before posting it here, but approvals from corporate take days, so you just saved us a lot of time. Thanks again! I have just one additional question on this form that I’m hoping you can help with: In this image, you can see the Excel file at left and the formula for cell B29 at top, and below that, cell B29 is blank, and the affected cell on the right is 0. Below that, B29 is set at 1 and affected cell at right is 22. One the right side of the image, you see the corresponding formula and cells in the PDF Form. However, in the PDF form, if I leave the same cell blank, (as in the Excel file) the affected cell on the right has been activated and is 22. It’s only if I prepopulate that cell with a 0 that it behaves properly and the affected cell on the right remains 0, as shown in the bottom image. Is there a way to adjust the field notation in the PDF form so that if the cell is blank, the affected cell on the right will remain 0? And, one last question: do you personally offer code translation help (particularly translating Excel formulas to Acrobat-friendly scripts) as a business? Possibly a website we can go to for help?

I have a form with quite a few simple calculations that I have working perfectly but for one calculation that I can't get to work. It's too complicated for me to figure out. It's the script for 'TF64' (TextField64). The original formula is from an Excel file, and it looks like this: The translated JavaScript with my substituted PDF text fields (TF#s) looks like this: (((TF34>0)&&(!TF79)||TF79<1)&&((TF49/TF15)>86.6||!TF49))?86.6:(TF49/TF15)) The section of the PDF form showing the location of the text fields are here: I'm not a coder at all, but I ran the debugger and this is what it showed for that script: I'm attaching the PDF form as well. Hopefully someone can guide me through this without too much effort. Many thanks, if so!

Thanks for the reply, Jeffrey. I didn't realize that the extreme stairstepping in a mask's hard edges is actually a result of the Fade Edge setting at its default of 100. Even at 50, there is still quite a bit. So, for any kind of architectual shoot, I will definitely be using a Fade Edge setting of ZERO. 😉 Thanks again for looking in!

I'm getting consistent masks with jagged edges with Sky Replacement. See attachments. I've tried various kinds of photos and getting the same results (not just images with angled edges). The photos are approx 8000x5000, RGB files.

Adobe has acknowledged the bug and will update at some point—see here: Photoshop CC 2019: "disable home screen" not working | Photoshop Family Customer Community In the meantime: the 'official' workaround for this is to Turn OFF the preference for Disabling the Home Screen – Restart – then hit the Escape Key to close it when it appears.

Same here, iMac 27 2017 — High Sierra 10.13.6 It's intermittent now (instead of constant) after doing several uninstalls/reinstalls, and using the Adobe ancient file killer utility. I thought the App Frame On or Off had something to do with it, but turns out not to be the case. I guess it's just another one of those annoyances we'll have to put up with until the next update. NOTE: I've come up with a quick keystroke workaround for this —if you're not having any luck getting rid of it quickly when it pops up on Save and Close— and that is to create an Action that changes your custom Workspace to one of the default Workspaces (I chose Essentials), then back to yours again. Presto! It's gone!

Thanks, Gene! I ran the cleaning utility and I think that has done the job! I had Adobe files going back years as the past two computers were complete data transfers from old systems — as you say, they're 'poison.' 😉

OK, a little more info on this topic IF anyone else is having this issue: System Info: Mac High Sierra (current version) If you prefer working with the Application Frame OFF and are getting the Home Screen after saving and closing files (regardless of prefs resets and restarts, etc.), switching to Application Frame ON will result in the proper behavior. After that, you can go back to working with Application Frame OFF and it will work the way it's supposed to. It's still a bit buggy, however, as eventually the Home Screen will appear after working with multiple files, or a System Restart, etc. … — both with and without Application Frame ON or OFF — then, you just need to restart the program and repeat to get it working properly.

Well, I did do the sign-out, which didn't solve the problem, but it did remind me that I've been working with the Application Frame turned off for years...(I can't stand working within the Application Frame), but I left it turned on and that stopped it. Anyone else working with the Application Frame turned OFF not having the Home Screen popping up on Save and Close?

Anyone remember CC 2015? Same problem all over again until Adobe finally put that little check box at the bottom of the Home Screen to prevent it from opening again. I'll repeat: Disabling it doesn't work. Legacy New Doc doesn't work. Reinstalling and erasing prefs doesn't work. Every time you save and close, it jumps into your face. It's a bug. Please admit it and get to work on it soon. It's slowing down the workflow! Thank you!

Nope...that may be the "Correct Answer," but isn't the correct answer. I've reinstalled, erased prefs, done 'Disable Home Screen' and tried using 'Legacy New Doc' setting repeatedly, and yet it continues. It's slowing down the workflow, guys! Fix it SOON! This same issue happened in previous releases until Adobe finally decided to own it and put a little check box way down at the bottom of the Home Screen which said 'Don't show this again.' Hurry it up, PLEASE!

I agree. This has been bothering the hell out of me since CC arrived! I knew that there must've been some sort of conflict somewhere, and I reported it as a bug twice. Thankfully this thread finally showed up under a Google search for ID CC Align Text Left, after months of trying to track this down. Hallelujah.
