Using Acrobat Pro DC Continuous Release Version 2022.001.20085 on a 2018 MacBook Pro Big Sur version 11.6.5. NOTEs: I have the Comment window Filter by Unchecked. I use a Apple Trackpad (and have for many years). The documents, source and PDF is on my local drive. The PDF file sizes are small, less than 1 MB, and can be 4 - 32 pages. Been using the workflow for a long time without issues until lately. However, recently have a problem where each time I click the Add Checkmark to the Copy Editors comment either: nothing happens so I try to click the add checkmark box again, and again And/or the rainbow pinwheel appears before the comment goes away sometimes Acrobat crashes Workflow: Copy/Editor adds Comments to our PDF documents. Desktop Publisher (me) goes through comments in the Comment window of Acrobat one at a time. Make change to source document. Click the checkbox in Acrobat's Comment window the the comment I just took care of. Move to the next comment. This workflow which normally takes say an hour or so, is now taking all day.

If you end up having to recreate the preset, I suggest you remove the & from the name. In my experience Acrobat still has a problem with old style illegal characters such as \ / : * ? Our team has successfully created and been using CC Libraries for several years. We have begun experiencing problems for the first time - after the CC app update Friday, Sept. 25, 2020. The following error message is displayed: This fiile is already open by another user or another application. This file may be stoed on a network server and cannot be opened until the other user closes it. We can see our libraries and even see the objects in them when viewing them within the InDesign CC Libraries window within InDesign or AI or from the CC library website. The problem happens when trying to drag or copy the object to a document. The strange thing is that using the same library and library object, you can use the object in AI CC2019 and InDesign CC2020 but NOT in InDesign CC2019. Also, the problem doesn't exist if you happen to be the original creator of the library. None of the team's permissions have been changed. They have checked that their CC app is still syncing. I even logged out of Adobe and logged back in. That didn't help. Most of our team can not update to CC2020 right now because it would disable other aspects our our workflow. Some of our deliverable will not work unless they are CC2019. CC202 has been tested and will not work. So we have to stay with CC2019 for now. It feels like something got broken on Adobe's side of things since this happened right after the CC app update a few days ago. Please resolve this issue. Thank you.

More detail I am using a MacBook PRO running Yosemite 10.10.5 and Adobe CC 2015 apps including Adobe Illustrator 2015.3. A typical workflow for my group is to convert InDesign files into EPS files then open the EPS in Illustrator and convert them to BMPs. We have been doing this for many years using various versions of Mac OS and Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. Yesterday while working remotely but with the files on my desktop, I dragged an EPS file as I normally do onto the AI icon on my Dock. I don't remember right now if AI was already open or not. I typically have my computer start up automatically opening InDesign but not AI but I have both icons permanently on the dock. As soon as I dragged the EPS file onto the AI icon, I go the following error. At first I thought this was funny because AI is telling me it "CAN'T" do something . . . something it has been doing for many years. So I sent the error message to my co-workers telling them was the best worded error message I've ever seen. Much better than some Error code number. However, my humor quickly wore off when I was unable to get my work done. Next it prompted me to run a Diagnostic which I did. It warned me that it would open and close AI each time. Which is what it seemed to do very quickly and it presented the same CANT error message each time. I clicked on the two Plug-in checkboxes to Disable them because I have no idea what they do and have never heard of them. In any case, I also selected the "Enable on Relaunch" button so they would be enabled later. Running thru the scenario above, I was eventually able to get my work done. But then later in the day when I needed to make one more BMP, I was presented with the same CANT error message and had to run the Diagnostic again. This morning I am in the office and not working remotely. As a test, I have tried several different ways of brining an EPS into AI to see if I still have the problem. So far I have not had the CANT or any other error message. - Opened AI, went to File / Open to open my EPS. No problem. - Dragged the EPS onto the open AI icon on my Dock. No problem. - Dragged the EPS onto the Closed AI icon on my Dock. No problem. Yesterday I asked my colleagues and none had ever seen the CANT message or had any problems dragging EPS files into AI. I asked the same question of a colleague who works at a different company and uses Windows, not Mac. She does the same EPS thing, dragging it into AI all the time without issue.
